Dealing with the five (5) Invisible Barriers Holding your Destiny

 

Nothing in this world happens by chance. It doesn’t matter whether you are from the continent of Africa, America, Asia, Australia, Europe, Antarctica, and Oceania; spiritual laws work. As the African proverb goes, “if a blind man boldly tells you he will hit with you a stone, he stands on a something.”

The same applies to hard work, discipline, and perseverance (meditate on Proverbs 10:4). If an American or European can be successful, an African or anyone living on a different continent can also be successful.

One thing that marvels me is when people undermine themselves (inferiority complex). God is not a respecter of persons. Although He can choose to favour anyone he wishes, He works with laws (the Holy Bible).

Never undermine yourself because you are from a continent some people perceive to be a “third world.” That’s what others think about you. If you are determined to succeed, you will succeed. However, there are some things you cannot ignore in life.

The fact that you are determined to succeed does not mean you will not encounter failure. Failure is a trainer. Failure is an experience. Failure teaches you the correct and incorrect ways of doing things.

Failure sharpens your creativity. Failure shows you the right key. Failure is the pathway to success. Failure is a teacher. Sometimes you have to act like a fool to succeed because the people surrounding you cannot see the ahead of the road.

You can give up on life without adequate knowledge, persistence, and discipline. God has invested a seed within you, and before this seed comes out, it passes through uncomfortable seasons.

It is said that a man with one eye is a king in an environment of the blind. Take that same man into a world where people see with two eyes; that man becomes insignificant. So, what is my point here?

Your destiny is embedded in your purpose. God wants you to succeed, but some invisible strongholds are holding your deliverance. Ignorance of these strongholds can prolong or limit your destiny. Know these truths.

• Your destiny is your God-given assignment.
• Your destiny is your place of influence, power, provision, and possession.
• Your destiny gives you access to unwanted places.
• Your destiny dismantles the expectations and plans of enemies.
• Your destiny makes your enemies irrelevant.
• Your destiny makes you time conscious.
• Your destiny separates you from the visionless.
• Your destiny sets you apart from the ordinary.
• Your destiny changes the life of those around you.
• Your destiny gives meaning to your life.
• Your destiny makes your enemies miserable.
• Your destiny makes you untouchable.
• Your destiny makes you a king, queen, and prince in your jurisdiction.
• Your destiny shuts the door of unfruitfulness.
• Your destiny makes you a savior of men.
• Your destiny sets the captives free.
• Your destiny uncovers the purpose of others.
• Your destiny opens uncommon doors in your life.
• Your destiny is a place of fulfilment.
• Your destiny is like a seed, failure to nurture that seed can kill the fruits within.
• Your destiny is a place of tireless labor.

I hope these few revelations will challenge you to pursue your destiny. Household enemies know you carry great destiny, so they will not allow you to come out. They will try limiting your star (destiny).

Some invisible strongholds (enemies) will hinder your destiny. You need wisdom and power to deal with these strongholds. In this article, I will share the top five strongholds holding your destiny. I will use these holy scriptures as my foundation to help you understand the invisible barriers limiting your destiny.

 

For though we walk in the flesh, we do not war after the flesh:

(For the weapons of our warfare are not carnal, but mighty through God to the pulling down of strong holds;)

Casting down imaginations, and every high thing that exalteth itself against the knowledge of God, and bringing into captivity every thought to the obedience of Christ;

2 Corinthians 10:3-5

From the above holy scriptures, Apostle Paul makes us understand that an invisible battle is going on in our lives. He further writes that we must pull down these strongholds. Secondly, we must cast down every imagination and every high thing that exalteth itself against the knowledge of Christ.

As Christian believers, we must not be idle. Today, we have many people challenging the knowledge of Christ Jesus. Several people are questioning and challenging the Word of God with their theories and discoveries.  

We must not allow the world and religious unbelievers to trample on us with their erroneous philosophies (invisible strongholds) because we are the light and salt of this world (meditate on Matthew 5:13-16).

It doesn’t matter whether the people around profess to be Christian believers, friends, and family; some of them can be wolves in sheep in clothing. You need the power and wisdom of the Holy Spirit to discern wolves in sheep's clothing.

I have realized that wolves in sheep's clothing are one of the most dangerous enemies in the world. Wolves in sheep clothing are people who pretend to be Christian believers and godly people.

They are full of wickedness and hypocrisy (meditate on Matthew 23:27). Haven’t you read in the Holy Scriptures? It was the religious people that falsely accused Christ Jesus. Sometimes the people you trust most can turn against you, while the people you suspect as enemies may be supporting you.

If I published all the visions the Holy Spirit reveals to me, you would be careful whom you choose as your spiritual leader, friend, marriage partner, and mentor because we have numerous wolves in sheep in clothing.

I have travelled to the continent of America, Europe, and several continents in the spiritual realm. I observed that I could not separate the Americans from the Europeans and Australians because they look alike.

Secondly, most of them are hardworking because I have assessed them in the spiritual realm. It will not be difficult to detect an African because I am an African. Although in the spiritual realm, there is nothing like Americans, Africans, Europeans, Asians, Australians, Antarcticians, and Oceanians.

We are one in the spirit. It takes deep spiritual knowledge to understand this key point. It takes your spirit to connect with the Spirit of God and counsels of the supernatural. It takes your soul to connect with human beings and other creations of God.

It takes your body to connect with the things of this world. Failure to train your spirit, soul, and body can prolong the fulfilment of your destiny. Let me enumerate the top five strongholds holding your destiny without wasting time. Knowing these truths will help you triumph over every barrier holding your destiny (glory and blessings).

 

1. Erroneous information received from parents and guardians

Do you know that corrupt thought patterns, ideologies, and philosophical concepts can hinder your destiny and productivity? The information received from parents and guardians greatly affects your life and those connected to you.

Like a child whose parents have taught him that Africans are bad people, such a child perceives Africans as evil because that is what the parents and guardians have taught him. Not all information received from parents and guardians is good, useful, and relevant.

It may be that your parents received erroneous information from their parents and loved ones, and they transferred that information to you. Most parents want their children to succeed, so they teach them what they perceive as right.

Your parents are human beings with limitations. They can lie to you because the holy scriptures say human beings can lie (meditate on Numbers 23:19). You must not accept every piece of information from your parents as the ultimate because they can also make mistakes.

Your parents might be wrong and ignorant with some of their counsel because they don’t know everything. Compare the information received from your parents with the Holy Bible because they can be wrong.

Your parent may have some experience in life that will add value to you, but that doesn’t mean that they are always right. Holding your parents' words as final without making a second thought or comparing it with the Holy Scriptures can hinder your destiny.

When I receive information from my parents and other people, I compare it with the Holy Scriptures. It doesn’t mean I don’t trust in my parent's and other people’s wisdom. I value the Word of God above any other word because the Word of God will never pass away (meditate on Matthew 24:35).

The advice of your parents may be helpful, but it may not be the truth or compatible with this season. For example, your parents might have advised you that typewriters are the best machines you can use to type your work.

Typewriters can indeed be used to type your work. However, with the introduction of computers and other advanced electronic devices, typewriters are no longer relevant. That doesn’t mean that your parents are wrong.

It is just that their counsels (mindset and ideologies) are not relevant in this season. Holding unto the counsels of your parents without comparison with the Word of God and conviction of the Holy Spirit can prolong your destiny.

 

2. Erroneous information received from the school.

Schools are one of the best formal ways to educate yourself. Schools can teach discipline, hard work, human relations, and several skills. However, the school can limit your destiny if you don’t apply wisdom.

For example, most schools only teach theories. The teacher who is teaching can program your mind for government jobs. It is not evil to work in government institutions. However, you must note that space for a government job is limited.

The world system is not conducive for government jobs because the world is advancing at a higher pace. You need advanced knowledge and quality skills to become relevant in this century. You attended school because you value the information in that place.

However, you must note that not every course taught in school is relevant. The people teaching and lecturing you in the school have their mindset, ideologies, and philosophies. In the process of teaching, these people can transfer some of their erroneous philosophies to you.

Like a child whom a teacher has taught that snakes are not harmful, such a child lives at the mercy of the poisonous snakes! Because you value the teacher and institution, you will hold unto that mindset.

Teachers have a significant impact on your life. Today, we have several schools teaching students satanism and all kinds of ungodly concepts under the guise of “human rights.” What do you think about such children’s future?

It is time to analyze the information received from your teachers and lecturers because their erroneous philosophies can limit your destiny. You will fulfil your destiny if you are fortunate to get godly teachers who teach you biblical and sound wisdom.

However, not every piece of information received from the schools, institutions, or colleges is helpful to your destiny. Eliminate every erroneous information received from schools and teachers if you want to fulfil your destiny.

 

3. Erroneous information received from your neighborhood.

Your surrounding has a significant impact on your life. The people you lived with within your childhood and adolescent stage can create a stronghold in your mind because you see them often. It is said that a child learns by watching, so whatever you see continuously creates a stronghold in your life.

The activities in your surrounding have a significant effect on your life. For example, suppose you live in an environment full of immorality, conflicts, and unethical activities. In that case, you can perceive the world as a place of depravity and evil.

You can also become a criminal and an immoral person because the activities in that neighbourhood affect your mindset, ideologies, and philosophies. Suppose you live in an environment full of productivity and hard work.

In that case, you will perceive the world as a place of productivity and hard work. If you live in an environment that is full of criminal activities, vacate that place because it can be an evil stronghold and tamper with your destiny.

 

4. Erroneous information received from friends.

As the holy scriptures state, evil communication corrupts good manners (see 1 Corinthians 15:33). Words are a powerful antidote to our soul. If you constantly receive ungodly counsel from people, it can damage your mind.

Suppose your friends are thieves, fornicators, liars, and criminals. In that case, you will likely become a criminal, thief, or fornicator because their presence and words have power over your soul (emotions, desires, intellect, and willpower). However, if you surround yourself with people of purpose, vision, and destiny, you are likely to become a valuable person.

 

Death and life are in the power of the tongue: and they that love it shall eat the fruit thereof.

Proverbs 18:21

As the Holy Bible states, life and death are in the power of the tongue; if the people around you are always speaking words of encouragement to you, you will make it in life. If the people around you are always discouraging you and speaking words of curses, it can limit your destiny. It is time to disconnect with some “friends” because friends can destroy or enlighten your destiny. Meditate on these Holy Scriptures for more profound revelations.

 

Be ye not unequally yoked together with unbelievers: for what fellowship hath righteousness with unrighteousness? and what communion hath light with darkness?

And what concord hath Christ with Belial? or what part hath he that believeth with an infidel?

And what agreement hath the temple of God with idols? for ye are the temple of the living God; as God hath said, I will dwell in them, and walk in them; and I will be their God, and they shall be my people.

Wherefore come out from among them, and be ye separate, saith the Lord, and touch not the unclean thing; and I will receive you,

And will be a Father unto you, and ye shall be my sons and daughters, saith the Lord Almighty.

2 Corinthians 6:14-18

 

5. Erroneous information received from enemies.

Do you know that enemies play important roles in our lives? Enemies can show you the way if you apply wisdom. Like an egg in hot water. The egg will suffer in the atmosphere (hot water), but it will be profitable.

That’s how some enemies prepare you for the future. You cannot live in this imperfect world without enemies. Enemies will destructively criticize you. They will do their best to make your life miserable.

Their insults and destructive criticism can create a stronghold in your life if you don’t break them. When you allow the unpleasant words of your enemies to stick in your mind, it can create depression, sorrow, and an inferiority complex.

This is one reason; you must close your ears to the destructive criticism of enemies. Don’t allow the offensive words of your enemies to stick in your soul (emotions and intellect) because they carry negative energies and evil spirits.

Enemies are always looking for your weakness. They are always looking for a chance to make your life miserable. Focus on your God-given assignment and search for ways to improve your gifts, skills, and purpose.

Get me right; I am not saying that you shouldn’t pray against the plans of your enemies. We have different kinds of enemies. You must know the enemy you are dealing with. Focusing on visionless enemies will limit and prolong your destiny.

Concentrating on some enemies will create unnecessary battles in your life. There are some enemies you don’t have to spend time with them because they are time wasters. If you allow these enemies in your life, they will create dark strongholds in your life.

If you allow these enemies in your life, they will limit your productivity. If you allow such enemies in your life, they will waste your precious energy and resources.
