Introduction
Will you allow your twenty-five-year-old
daughter to marry a five-year-old boy? Probably not, because that boy has not
developed the mind and body to handle your daughter. That boy cannot make crucial
decisions.
Allowing that boy to
handle your daughter will expose your daughter to danger and calamities. I
believe you will not sit in a car whose “driver” has no training in a driving
school. You will not experiment with your life with a “driver” who has not
driven a car in his lifetime because you value your life.
That “driver” does not
have the knowledge, skills, and experience to drive you safely. You will not sit
in an airplane whose pilot has no training in aviation because that pilot can end
your life prematurely when the plane takes off.
In the same way, nobody
will be willing to connect with an ignorant and visionless person. Ignorant and
visionless people follow blind people. Christ Jesus stated in the Holy
Scriptures, "If a blind man leads a blind, he will fall into a hole.”
Knowledge is the sunlight to the human mind
Your mind is like the
human eye. Without light rays, the eye cannot see. The sun allows the human eye
to see. The moon, stars, and electric light allow the human eye to see at night.
In the same way, knowledge is like a sun, moon, stars, and electric light to
the human mind (the eye).
Without adequate
knowledge, the mind becomes dark. The greater your ignorance, the greater the
darkness. The more you fill your mind with resourceful knowledge, it enlightens
the mind. The mind can see further when it receives more knowledge.
Have you realized that
the more you read, the more you understand that you lack something? As stated
at the beginning of the article, a five-year boy cannot handle a twenty-five-year-old
woman as a wife because that’s child does not have the ability (knowledge).
You will not sit in a
car, plane, train, or any transport device whose driver has no knowledge,
training, or experience of that device. You need someone with skills,
knowledge, and experience to drive you because he has done it several times.
In the same way, you
cannot advance in life without adequate knowledge and skills. When you combine
your knowledge and skills, it becomes your experience. Read to brighten your
light. Read if you don’t want be like the five-year-old boy. Read if you don’t want
to be like the ignorant driver and pilot.
The wisdom of the two gentlemen
I was walking on the street
of koforidua (the eastern regional capital of Ghana) one morning. Whiles
walking, I saw two men conversing. Their conversation was important, so I listened
closely to their discussion.
In their discussion, one
of the gentlemen said that if the government of Ghana can bring a man from a
different country to lead some ministries, there will be no corruption. As they
kept talking, I told myself that bringing someone from a foreign country to
lead in some section of Ghana’s ministry would not solve the problem
(challenge) of corruption if that person had a corrupt mindset. It doesn’t
matter the color, tribe, and height of an individual. The system will still be
corrupt if that person has an evil mindset.
The tribe is not the problem
We need people with moral
integrity in leadership. If a Ghanaian leader has moral integrity and is hardworking,
there will be no corruption in his leadership. You don’t have to bring a
Nigerian, American, European, Chinese, or any other citizen to work in the
leadership of Ghana if the leaders in Ghana have moral integrity.
The Americans, Europeans,
and other advanced countries increased productivity because of their systems
and mindset. There are corrupt people in America, Europe, and several
countries.
However, their security systems
check, prevent, and eliminate corruption. Another reason the Americans,
Europeans, and Chinese advance at a higher pace is because of their principled and
educated mindset.
Everything is about
mindset. A cat, dog, pig, cow, and goat in America, Europe, and China will
behave the same if you bring them to Ghana. Do you want to know why? They have
one mindset.
However, if the cat and
dog are trained (educated), they will behave differently. So, what’s my point
here? If you have a corrupt mindset, it follows you. Whether you are in Ghana,
Nigeria, China, and Asia, if that corrupt person gets to America, Europe, and
any country, that corrupt mindset will reflect.
In the same way, if the
Ghanaian, Nigerian, Kenyan, or American has moral integrity and is hardworking,
he will be hardworking and honest in Holland, Zimbabwe, Germany, Spain, Canada,
and any country.
This is one reason; the
mindset plays a vital role in development and productivity. If your mind has
nothing substantial, it cannot progress. If your mind carries corrupt or no
information, it will lead to stagnation
and poverty.
If your mind carries
prosperous information, you will do things to attract prosperity. This is one
reason we must love knowledge. We must love books because knowledge comes from
reading.
However, you can also get
divine wisdom, knowledge, and understanding from the Holy Spirit. That wisdom

Aside from getting divine
knowledge, you must also read because we rule this world with resourceful and
spiritual knowledge. You must know the systems of nature, spiritual forces,
human beings, systems of the world, and how things are done.
You cannot solely depend
on spiritual knowledge. You need common sense. You must read. God gave you the
brain (mind) because he wants you to use it. He expects you to think. You
cannot expect God to do everything for you because you have what it takes to be
successful.
God works with wisdom
The LORD by wisdom hath
founded the earth; by understanding hath he established the heavens.
Proverbs
3:19 KJV
Before God created the
Heavens and earth, he applied wisdom. God is all-powerful. However, he built the
earth by wisdom. God separated the light from the darkness. He separated the
dry land from the oceans, seas, and rivers.
God gave us seeds. With
these seeds, we derive our food. God created a man and woman differently (biologically).
If you analyze the digestive system of humans, the earth, animals, the ocean,
mountains, and the spiritual realm, you will realize that God is the Chief
biologist, scientist, architect, and researcher.
The human heart, brain,
lungs, teeth, eyes, ears, hands, legs, nose, large intestines, small
intestines, tongue, sexual organs, tongue, liver, womb, and several organs have
roles in the body. If one organ fails to perform its duty, it affects the body.
That’s wisdom. God laid the
foundation before creating the earth because the foundation supports the four
corners of the earth. If you check the solar systems, you will see that the
sun, moon, and stars play an important role.
If the sun fails to
perform its duty, we will die. If the moon fails to perform its task, we will
die. God knew we would need sunlight, air, and food. The trees give us oxygen,
and we supply them with carbon dioxide.
The seeds need rain and
sunlight to grow. Fruits, vegetables, and several plants have ways of
protecting themselves. The rivers and oceans cannot cross certain boundaries.
The moment they cross those boundaries, people lose their lives.
Buildings and properties lose
their beauty when the river crosses its boundary. God gave animals wisdom.
Animals know how to search for their food. They know how to protect themselves from
predators.
That’s wisdom. We serve a
God of wisdom. God is the giver of wisdom. He expects us to use our minds
because we were created in His image and after likeness (see Genesis 1:26-27). God
knows your mind can learn.
That’s why he has given
wisdom to some people to write and publish. Children learn from their parents,
siblings, and surroundings. Children learn faster because they have sharp
brains. God gave brilliant brains to children because He expects them to learn
at a faster rate.
You cannot sit idle and
expect God to teach you something you are supposed to learn. God has given us
the Word. He expects us to study his principles and apply them. Sometimes, I
marvel when I see people praying for something God has already provided in the Word
(the
Holy Bible).
We have depended on God
for a long time; meanwhile, He has given us the Word. God has given us the Holy
Spirit. He has given you wise people. God expects you to learn from nature. Read
the books of wise people.
Read books written by born-again
Christian believers. God has given us the brains to learn, think,
study, and make decisions. We serve a wise God. You are created in the image
and likeness of God; therefore, apply wisdom. Expand your creativity by
reading. Take responsibility because knowledge is available in the Holy Bible
and resourceful books.
The enemy works with ignorance and strategies (wisdom)
Read books to increase
wisdom. Your brain is not for fashion. You must use it. Expand it by reading.
You have disturbed God and his angels for a long time. You have blamed the
devil for a long time.
There are some things the
devil does not know. Your ignorance opens the door for the enemy to torment

Read to close the door of
ignorance. Demons will stop manipulating you if you acquire spiritual and
resourceful knowledge. The devil knows the power of knowledge. That is why it
is preventing you from reading.
The enemy knows the powers
within the Holy Bible. He will allow you to do anything. However, the enemy
will not allow you to acquire knowledge. The day you acquire knowledge, he will become
vulnerable.
If you want to defeat the
enemy, you must study his strength and weakness. This is one reason; people send
spies to the enemy’s ground. The spies gather knowledge about their opponent
and use that information to dominate the battle.
Even in football,
businesses, and families, people study the success and weaknesses of their
opponents. If you are going to be successful, you must study. You must read.
Reading uplifts you above others.
Reading makes you
invisible and “dangerous.” Do you want to know why the Americans, Europeans,
and several countries are advancing faster? They know something poor (low-income)
countries do not know.
Advanced countries do
something poor countries do not do. Study what successful people (countries)
study. Do what successful people (nations) do. Follow what successful people
follow.
However, it is not
everything you must imitate from successful people and countries. Don’t follow
or study blindly. Anything challenging the Word of God (the Holy Bible) is a
sin. For example, lesbianism, paganism, homosexuality, bestiality, transgender,
and abortion is abominable and evil (see the Holy Bible).
The Holy Bible is our
ultimate ruler. We cannot allow ungodly laws to break the supreme rules (Holy Bible).
Study and follow. However, don’t study and follow blindly. Read books. However,
don’t read abominable materials because it will corrupt you and those connected
to you.
Knowledge is the lifter of the soul
He that getteth wisdom
loveth his own soul: he that keepeth understanding shall find good.
Proverbs
19:8 KJV
Our soul
comprises our desires, intellect, emotions, will, passions, and thoughts. (For

If you love your soul,
you will love knowledge. It takes knowledge to sustain your soul. If you don’t
want people to manipulate your emotions, desires, and future, read spiritual
and resourceful books.
Reading books strengthens
your soul. It makes you unbending to the enemy’s deception. Your soul can take
you to distant places. It can travel to places your body cannot enter. For
example, you can envision building churches in Europe, America, Asia, Africa,
and several countries.
You can have a vision of
building businesses across the globe. You can envision building libraries all
over Africa and poor countries. Your body might not have traveled physically to
America, Europe, Africa, Asia, and the places you want to build your church,
businesses, and libraries.
However, your soul can
build those things without your body getting there. I will write into detail
about the power of information and its power on the soul (the mind) in detail
in the next article.
Without adequate
knowledge, the fears and pleasures of this world can limit your
vision. People can torment you emotionally and spiritually because of your ignorance. The devil
can limit you if you lack knowledge.
Your vision may not come
to pass because of ignorance. Ignorance will create fear in your soul, making
your vision unattainable. However, nobody can stop your vision if you are
knowledgeable and wise.
Knowledge empowers your vision. Knowledge empowers your soul to build greater things. Knowledge makes you conquer the invisible enemy (meditate on 2 Corinthians 10:3-5).
- Do you love your soul?
- Do you want to possess an unstoppable vision?
- Do you want your vision to come to pass?
- Do you want to dominate the destructive critics?
- Do you want to overcome your fears?
- Do you want to break the stronghold of the enemy?
- Do you want to dominate the manipulations of this world?
- Do you want to build an invisible fortress (army) in your heart and mind?
If you answered yes to
any of these questions, acquire knowledge. I mean, read. Be a voracious
reader. The knowledge you acquire will break the invisible chains limiting your
soul and destiny.
Knowledge will defeat the
enemy abusing your plans (dreams, mission, and assignment). Reading books will catapult
your dreams, ambitions, and visions to the glorious mountain. On this holy
mountain, no one can play with your assignment.
Wisdom is the anchor of the builder
Through wisdom is an
house builded; and by understanding it is established:

You don’t need a huge sum
of money to start building. The building comes in several ways. You can build a
business with wisdom (knowledge). You can build a network of helpers, experts,
and professionals with wisdom (knowledge).
You can build a home with
wisdom (knowledge). You can build an online store with wisdom (knowledge). You
can build an online community with wisdom (knowledge). You can build anything
with wisdom.
Money is a just booster. You
might not need much money to build or start your project. You need wisdom. Some
problems (challenges) in life demand wisdom (knowledge). Without wisdom, you
will not build anything.
Extreme desire for money
can limit and darken your soul. Today, technology has made it easy to build.
You can build a ministry online. You can build a network with people globally
without you meeting them physically.
You can buy acres and
hectares of land without meeting the land owner. You can purchase an asset
without meeting the owner of the asset physically. However, without wisdom
(knowledge), you cannot build these things.
If you are ignorant of
the systems, you cannot build what others have built. People have businesses,
houses, and precious assets in several countries and territories today. These
assets generate passive income.
All you need is wisdom. You
have to read. Read to increase in knowledge. If you don’t read, you will remain
idle, poor, and unprofitable while people build houses. If you have wisdom, you
can sit in the comfort of your home and buy a house in a different country or
territory.
Through wisdom is an
house builded; and by understanding it is established:

The “house” stated in the
Holy Scriptures represents a business, church, organization, institution,
community, and anything profitable. You need adequate wisdom to build that “house.”
You need wisdom (knowledge) to connect with people to help you build your “house.”
Knowledge (wisdom) comes
from studies. If you want to build your house, gather knowledge. Read books and
apply the knowledge within because your mind is a creator. An educated mind can
do great things.
Don’t stop learning.
Don’t stop reading because you have a college certificate. School teaches how
to read and write. Knowledge comes from reading many books. With the acquired
knowledge, you become a game changer.
Knowledge enhances your input
And beside this, giving all diligence, add to your faith virtue; and to
virtue knowledge;
2 Peter 1:5 KJV
Haven’t you seen
hardworking people struggling? The fact that hard work leads to prosperity does
not mean every hard work pays. Working in the bank does not mean you will earn
millions every week or month.
There are hardworking
cleaners in the bank who get a quarter of the bank manager’s weekly allowance.
The cleaner and banker works in the bank. Both are hardworking, yet the bank
manager’s weekly bonus is ninety times bigger than the cleaner’s monthly
salary.
Do you want to know why
the bank manager gets larger remuneration than the cleaner? It’s because the
bank manager knows something the cleaner does not know. Your boss takes a
higher salary because he knows something you do not know.
Your boss can do
something you cannot do. As stated in the Holy Scriptures, you must add to your
diligence (hard work) and virtue, knowledge. The reason some people are earning
huge sums of money is because they solve big problems.
The problem you solve determines your value. Solve the problem of food. People will pay you for the price of that food. Solve the transportation problem by manufacturing cars, airplanes, trains, and ships. People will pay you for the price of cars, airplanes, trains, and ships.
- What do you know (your knowledge)?
- What can you do (your experience)?
- What do you have (your skills)?
If you are going to be
resourceful, you must learn new skills. You must learn how to solve big
problems. Solving big problems does not come by laziness. It comes by studying.
You must learn from others.
You must read. You must
be disciplined! Study what car manufacturers do. Produce the same or better ones.
People will pay you the price. Acquire the knowledge of the bank manager and
solve the problem the bank manager is solving; you will receive his price.
Acquire the knowledge of successful
people. Do what they are doing, and you will receive the reward people give
them. For example, Mark Zuckerberg is solving the problem of social media
(Facebook).
Jeff Bezos is solving the problem of
e-commerce. Larry Page and Sergey Brin (owners of Google) are solving the
problem of research and internet-related problems. The “richest man” in Africa
is solving the problem of production.
Warren Buffet is solving
the problem of investment. If you want to be paid like Mark Zuckerberg, Jeff
Bezos, Larry Page, Sergey Brin, Elon Musk, Dangote, and any “successful person,”
study what they are doing.
Do what they are doing. Read
books successful people studied to become who they are today. Acquire manufacturing
knowledge of airplanes, televisions, mobile phones, computers, and expensive
products.
Produce those products
and services. People will pay you the price. If you want your country to become
valuable, train your citizens, employees, and followers to manufacture rich
products and services.
Train your citizens to
study what successful organizations and people are studying. Let them do what
successful countries and organizations are doing. It's that simple. Read the
books successful people read and do what successful people do.
You will become like
them! Train yourself. Manufacture profitable things. Engage in profitable
products and services. Read books and watch videos about making profitable
products and services.
Train your people to
produce what rich countries and organizations are producing. However, don't
acquire knowledge if you want to remain in poverty. If you don’t
want to become a resource, please stop reading!
If you want to remain in poverty, don’t study and practice what the rich know and do. However, if you're going to become resourceful, study and do what the rich know and do.

Study and apply knowledge
