The 20 Currencies of the Holy Spirit - 1

Knowing the Holy Spirit

Introduction

The Holy Spirit is the gift of God to humankind. He comes into our lives to help us know and experience God. If you doubt the Holy Spirit, try worshipping and praising God from your heart. Do it consistently.

You may not see God physically while praising and worshipping Him. However, glorify God by faith. The more you keep worshipping and praising God in your chambers, the more Holy Spirit will begin to reveal himself.

One analogy someone gave me about God was that we do not see the air or wind. However, we feel its presence. You might not see God in the season of worship and praise. However, he is present.

You will feel his presence when you continue fellowshipping and relating with Him. Be persistent. The Holy Spirit will reveal himself to you. The Holy Spirit is the Spirit of holiness. He stays in an environment of holiness.

I have had several encounters with the Holy Spirit by God's grace. The Holy Spirit is real. If you are sincere with God and honor Him from the deepest part of your heart, the Holy Spirit will reveal himself to you physically and spiritually.

When your heart desires to please the Lord, the Holy Spirit will reveal himself to you. When you desire to work for God with all your heart, the Holy Spirit will reveal himself to you. One thing about the Holy Spirit is that his presence explains orderliness, discipline, power, and peace.

That is what I have seen about the Holy Spirit. The Holy Spirit comes with a peaceful presence. He reveals himself in times of pain, confusion, despair, and fear. The Holy Spirit reveals himself when our faith in the Lord grows cold.

The Holy Spirit comes to renew and revive our spirit. For more profound revelation about the Holy Spirit, check out my series of books. The books are free on my blog. In this article, I will share twenty currencies of the Holy Spirit.

These currencies are biblical and revelatory. If you want to know whether the Holy Spirit is present or active in a vessel or vicinity, observe the currencies I am about to share with you in this article. In other words, if you want to prove whether the Holy Spirit lives in a vessel or vicinity, check out for these currencies (seeds). These currencies will help you understand the Holy Spirit's workings, leadership, and presence.

Twenty Currencies of the Holy Spirit

Identifying the Spirit of God

1. Love

the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, gentleness, goodness, faith,

Meekness, temperance: against such there is no law.

Galatians 5:22 KJV

The first currency (fruit) of the Holy Spirit is love. Love is a broad topic. However, I will briefly share some revelations in this article. If you want more profound revelations about love, kindly check out my book, What Is Love?

The book is free on my blog. Love is a deep subject. What you call love may be lust if you don’t understand this currency (virtue). I encourage you to read my book (What is Love?) for a more profound revelation about love. As stated in the Holy Scriptures (see Galatians 5:22), love is a currency of the Holy Spirit. Let me use these Holy Scriptures to explain love.

Love is patient, love is kind, it is not envious. Love does not brag, it is not puffed up.

It is not rude, it is not self-serving, it is not easily angered or resentful.

It is not glad about injustice, but rejoices in the truth.

It bears all things, believes all things, hopes all things, endures all things.

Love never ends. But if there are prophecies, they will be set aside; if there are tongues, they will cease; if there is knowledge, it will be set aside.

1 Corinthians 13:4-8 NET BIBLE

Apostle Paul defines love as patience and kindness. He further revealed that love is not envious. Love is not rude. Please study the above Holy Scriptures for a better understanding of love. I used the Net Bible because it explains love in simple language.

Some people think you are not showing love if you don’t express emotions. Expressing your feelings is good. However, do not be over-emotional because emotional love is temporal, deceptive, and lustful.

Real love surpasses emotions. Even animals express soulish (emotional) love. We can show love to people without expressing emotions. I mean the real love of God. Some people think sexual intercourse is the perfect way of expressing love.

That’s an erotic love (sexual love). Expressing erotic love (deep romantic love) outside marriage is a sin. Real love brings deliverance. I mean deliverance to our spirit, soul, and body. If someone claims to love God but shows no love for others, the Holy Spirit does not live in such a vessel.

As stated in the Holy Scriptures (see Galatians 5:22), love is one of the currencies of the Holy Spirit. When the Holy Spirit is active in a vessel, he shows unconditional love. You will feel peaceful, joyful, and comfortable when the Holy Spirit is present.

If you are spiritual, the Holy Spirit can reveal the true love (character) of “loved ones” in dreams and visions. A vessel without the Holy Spirit carries negative energies such as hatred, jealousy, malice, slander, and gossip.

Wherever the Holy Spirit is, there is unity and love. The Holy Spirit is not present if love is absent in an environment. If an individual cannot express love, the Holy Spirit is not living in that vessel.

However, if a vessel cares, unites, and gives a helping hand, it symbolizes the presence of the Holy Spirit. If you are born again, you can detect false and genuine love. If the Holy Spirit lives in you, you will not struggle to express love toward God and his creation (humankind, animals, trees, and living things).

  • Do you have the Holy Spirit?
  • Is the Holy Spirit present in your neighborhood?
  • Does your “loved ones” carry the Holy Spirit?

2. Peace

Another verifiable currency of the Holy Spirit is peace. Countries that often engage in battle do not carry the Holy Spirit's presence. People who love to create confusion and disaster most often do not have the Holy Spirit.

As stated in the Holy Scriptures (see Galatians 5:22), peace is one of the currencies of the Holy Spirit. When the Holy Spirit is active in an environment, peace prevails. Unity and joy prevail in an environment full of the Holy Spirit.

People who exhibits and promotes peace carry the Holy Spirit. Communities that live in peace and promote peace have the Holy Spirit. The Holy Spirit is present when war and conflict are absent or less in an environment.

  • Is your family peaceful?
  • Is your workplace peaceful?
  • Is your school peaceful?
  • Is your Church peaceful?
  • Is your friend peaceful?
  • Are you peaceful?

If you answered yes to these questions, the Holy Spirit is present. However, the Holy Spirit is absent if you answer no to these questions. The Holy Spirit is present if you observe constant peace in a person and place. However, the Holy Spirit is absent if you experience constant conflict, confusion, envy, and disunity in a person or place.

3. Longsuffering

One identifying mark of the Holy Spirit is forbearance. The ability to exercise patience in times of confusion, uncertainty, storms, and pain signifies the presence of the Holy Spirit. If someone claims to have the Holy Spirit yet has no tolerance for people and godly activities, the Holy Spirit is absent.

If the Holy Spirit is active in a vessel, that vessel will have the patience to stand insults and injustice. Because of the presence of the Holy Spirit, tolerance will be operational. People full of the Holy Spirit can stand persecution, affliction, and slander because of the seed (currency) of longsuffering.

That’s one of the things I have observed in my life. I ignore haters, critics, and enemies because of the Holy Spirit. The Holy Spirit helps me ignore the attacks of some enemies because I possess the currency of longsuffering.

A vessel that does not have the Holy Spirit will answer to every persecution and affliction. Such a vessel is ready to fight everyone who steps on his feet. That is not how the Holy Spirit operates.

The Holy Spirit knows necessary and unnecessary battles. If the Holy Spirit lives in a vessel, he will regulate the person. The Holy Spirit is like a thermostat. He regulates our hearts. He knows how to cool us when the enemy fires hot arrows.

The Holy Spirit knows how to calm us during pain and persecution. However, a vessel that does not have the Holy Spirit will answer to every “attack” of the enemy. A neighborhood that does not have the Holy Spirit will engage in every attack that comes its way.

This is one reason countries that do not have the Holy Spirit are full of war, murder, confusion, and pain. The people in that place do not have the Holy Spirit; therefore, they have no self-control.

They respond to every projection, penetration, and persecution. Such vessels don’t know when to exercise patience. However, vessels and vicinities with the Holy Spirit can exercise patience. They know when to attack and when to refrain from attacking.

  • Does your neighborhood carry the Holy Spirit?
  • Is the Holy Spirit present in your school?
  • Is the Holy Spirit active in your family?
  • Is the Holy Spirit active in your workplace?
  • Is the Holy Spirit active in your Church?
  • Is the Holy Spirit active in your friend?
  • Is the Holy Spirit active in your life?

4. Gentleness

Question anyone who cannot show kindness towards God’s creation (human beings, animals, and trees). If someone claims to have the Holy Spirit yet destroys his neighbor, animals, trees, and properties with no sense and feelings of remorse, he does not have the Holy Spirit.

Anyone who can kill another person without feeling sorry does not have the Holy Spirit. Anyone who enjoys destroying his neighbors and innocent animals does not have the Holy Spirit. If the Holy Spirit lives in a vessel, you will see compassion, passion, and kindness.

When the Holy Spirit is active, you will feel the gentility of the vessel. How the person talks, acts, and communicates with others signifies the presence or absence of the Holy Spirit. How the person carries himself indicates the presence or absence of the Holy Spirit.

Most often, demon-possessed people do not show gentility because of the absence of the Holy Spirit. People who carry the spirit (virtue) of murder, bitterness, unforgiveness, and violence lack the Holy Spirit.

This is one reason empty vessels cannot show kindness. Neighborhoods and leaders who cannot empathize with their citizens and other struggling citizens lack the Holy Spirit. However, people who show compassion to their citizens and others have the Holy Spirit.

Countries without tolerance for other nations' citizens do not have the Holy Spirit. However, people who accept different nationalities carry the Holy Spirit. Most often, racists do not have the Holy Spirit.

Countries (leaders) that love people in “war” have the Holy Spirit. That is, leaders who pump money and accessories to prevent and stop wars have the Holy Spirit. However, countries and organizations that give funds and accessories to support killing, war, racism, injustice, property termination, and evil do not have the Holy Spirit.

Sometimes, we must engage in war because some enemies will not bow without a fight. However, suppose the countries engaging in war want to settle in peace, and a third-party government or organization donates funds to increase the intensity of the war.

In that case, the party, country, or organization encouraging other countries to engage in war does not have the Holy Spirit. If leaders do not create systems to help the vulnerable but mismanage the funds and spend it on themselves and family, such leaders do not have the Holy Spirit.

If such leaders have the Holy Spirit, the Holy Spirit will press their wicked hearts. The Holy Spirit will generate the currency of kindness in the hearts of the leaders to show mercy and build the nation when tempted to squander the funds. However, wickedness will prevail in the land and organization if the Holy Spirit is absent.

  • Is the Holy Spirit active in your neighborhood?
  • Is the Holy Spirit present in your school?
  • Is the Holy Spirit present in your family?
  • Is the Holy Spirit living in your friend?
  • Is the Holy Spirit present in your Church?
  • Does the Holy Spirit live in you?

5. Goodness

A vessel full of the Holy Spirit will not hesitate to give his precious asset to his neighbor or “stranger.” Countries and organizations that provide funds to support struggling communities, institutions, and people carry the Holy Spirit.

I mean free funds. Funds that do not have deceptive terms and conditions. As stated in Galatians chapter five verse twenty-two, goodness is a currency of the Holy Spirit. When someone carries the Holy Spirit, he is ready to give to needy people.

A man full of the Holy Spirit shows compassion towards the weak. Such vessels are not self-centered and greedy. Holy Spirit-filled vessels are selfless, morally upright, and hardworking. These vessels know when and how to give.

Holy Spirit-filled vessels give out of their heart. They don’t give because they want the praise of men. Holy Spirit-filled vessels give because it’s their nature. People full of the Holy Spirit give to orphans, widows, and vessels experiencing poverty out of their hearts.

It doesn’t matter the faith and culture; Holy Spirit-filled vessels give to people and organizations with no strings attached. Some people give because they want an appraisal. Some people give because of demonic rituals, power, and fame.

However, Holy Spirit-filled vessels give to make life easy. They give to free people from financial, emotional, social, spiritual, and physical bondage. Any vessel that claims to have the Holy Spirit yet cannot share its assets with others does not have Him. If the Holy Spirit lives in a vessel, he will influence the person to give. The Holy Spirit will command vessels who carry him in their heart to support needy people.

  • Do you have the Holy Spirit?
  • Is the Holy Spirit active in your family and friends?
  • Is the Holy Spirit present in your Church?

6. Faith

One unquestionable mark of the Holy Spirit is the currency of faith. Most often, the Holy Spirit does not physically show himself. This is one reason I use vessels and vicinities to help you detect the Holy Spirit.

If the Holy Spirit is active in a vessel, you will see that he will express a belief in the true God (Yahweh). Nobody has to tell a child that there is God. The Holy Spirit will convince the child that there is a God if people do not corrupt the vessel.

One sign a vessel carries the Holy Spirit is the expression of faith. When a vessel declares his love for Christ Jesus, He has the Holy Spirit. The Holy Spirit is present if a vessel publicly declares that Christ Jesus is his Savior and Lord of his life.

If someone believes and acts on the Word of God (the Holy Bible), the Holy Spirit is active in that vessel. Wherever people desire miracles, the Holy Spirit is present. However, a community that does not believe in the existence of God is void of the Holy Spirit.

A neighborhood that does believe in miracles lacks the Holy Spirit. Vessels and communities without faith in the Holy Scriptures and angels do not have the Holy Spirit. It will be dangerous to put your trust in vessels that do not have the Holy Spirit because the Holy Bible warns us (meditate on Jeremiah 17:9).

When the Holy Spirit is present in the vicinity and vessel, the people believe in prayers, supernatural encounters, the Holy Scriptures, angels, and Christ Jesus. However, vessels and vicinities that do believe in the existence of God (Christ Jesus) and keep swimming in wickedness do not have the Holy Spirit.

Most often, such vessels have a seared conscience. They interpret good as evil and evil as good. However, when the Holy Spirit is active in a vessel, the person will show gratitude to God.

When the Holy Spirit is alive in a community, the people desire to worship, praise, and honor God. Holy Spirit-filled vessels give credit to God. They rely on Christ Jesus for strength. Holy Spirit-filled vessels believe in Heaven and hell. People full of the Holy Spirit believe God created the world and things in it. Vessels full of the Holy Spirit submit to the authority of God (the Holy Bible).

  • Is the Holy Spirit active in your family?
  • Is the Holy Spirit present in your community?
  • Is the Holy Spirit active in your Church?
  • Do your friends carry the Holy Spirit?
  • Do you have the Holy Spirit?

7. Meekness

Wherever the Holy Spirit is, you will feel and sense humility. However, places full of pride, jealousy, and hatred lack the presence of the Holy Spirit. When the Holy Spirit is active within a  community, the people submit to godly authority.

You will hardly find Holy Spirit-filled communities opposing godly authorities. People full of the Holy Spirit submit to godly leaders. Holy Spirit-filled vessels are obedient and submissive. However, vessels without the Holy Spirit cannot humble themselves.

Such vessels are full of themselves. They see humility as a weakness. Vessels and vicinities without the Holy Spirit have no regard for people, especially people experiencing poverty. When the Holy Spirit is active in a vessel, he respects the rich and poor.

Holy Spirit-filled vessels love animals. They protect properties and God’s creation (trees, water bodies, things that have breath). However, vessels that do not have the Holy Spirit have no tolerance for people, especially people living in poverty.

If someone claims to have the Holy Spirit, yet you see no submissiveness and humility in that person, the Holy Spirit is absent. If the Holy Spirit lives in a vessel, you will see meekness (humility and submission) in his character.

If that person cannot submit to anyone, the Holy Spirit is not living in him. When the Holy Spirit is alive in a vessel, he will humble himself when he makes a mistake. Holy Spirit-filled vessels repent when they recognize their mistakes (sin).

People full of the Holy Spirit learn from godly people. However, vessels who do not have the Holy Spirit think they know it all. Holy Spirit-filled vessels know their limitations. They know they are mortals, so they humble themselves when the season arrives.

However, people who do not carry the Holy Spirit refuse to humble themselves when corrected. They think they are immortal and untouchable. People without the Holy Spirit have no regard for anyone.

They are full of pride. Irrespective of the person empty vessels encounter, they are ready to fight. Vessels without the Holy Spirit have no value for the things of God. They dethrone Christ Jesus' works and enthrone the devil's work. However, people full of the Holy Spirit submit to orders that agree with God's Word. Do you have the Holy Spirit?

8. Temperance

When the Holy Spirit is active in a vessel and vicinity, there is self-control. Orderliness works in places filled with the Holy Spirit. However, a place void of the Holy Spirit is full of disorderliness and destruction.

You will hardly find a true church operating in conflict. Because of the Holy Spirit, the place works in peace. If the Holy Spirit is active in a vessel, he controls himself when sin knocks. People who claim to have the Holy Spirit yet cannot withstand evil are not truly born again.

If you are full of the Holy Spirit, you overcome the traps of sin without struggle (meditate on Galatians 5:24, 1 John 3:9). When a lady or guy tries to seduce a Holy Spirit-filled vessel, the Holy Spirit helps that vessel to control himself.

It takes the restraining power of the Holy Spirit and the Word to dominate sin and Satan. Question any vessel who loves sin and lives in conscious sin. Such a vessel does not have the Holy Spirit.

If that vessel carries the Holy Spirit, you will not see him swimming in the river of human rituals, fornication, adultery, scam, abortion, gossip, slander, jealousy, and grave evils. When someone is full of the Holy Spirit, he can stand rejection, false accusation, criticism, pain, sin, and wickedness. However, a man void of the Holy Spirit will submit to rejection, fornication, and every enemy attack. Monitor your environment.

  • Do the people enjoy and promote sinful activities? (this signifies the absence of the Holy Spirit).
  • Do the people express love, joy, peace, longsuffering, gentleness, goodness, faith, meekness, and temperance? (this signifies the presence of the Holy Spirit).

The Holy Spirit is absent if these currencies (love, joy, peace, longsuffering, gentleness, goodness, faith, meekness, and temperance) are absent.

However, the Holy Spirit is present if the currencies enshrined in Galatians chapter five verses twenty-two to twenty three are active in the vessel and vicinity. Kindly share the link to this article so others can receive the knowledge that brings wisdom.
