The Mysteries of ‛âzar – 2

the hands of God, understanding the ways of God, the miracles of God

Table of Content

In my previous article, I dissected the mysteries of ‛âzar. I believe you understand the meaning of ‛âzar. As children and creatures of God, we need help in our life journey. Even God needs help in his works. God needed a man to stand in the gap of Israel so that he would deliver the Israelites. God needed a man to transact divine business so he would enforce his justice.

Boetheo of humankind

Son of man, say unto her, Thou [art] the land that is not cleansed, nor rained upon in the day of indignation.

[There is] a conspiracy of her prophets in the midst thereof, like a roaring lion ravening the prey; they have devoured souls; they have taken the treasure and precious things; they have made her many widows in the midst thereof.

Her priests have violated my law, and have profaned mine holy things: they have put no difference between the holy and profane, neither have they shewed [difference] between the unclean and the clean, and have hid their eyes from my sabbaths, and I am profaned among them.

Her princes in the midst thereof [are] like wolves ravening the prey, to shed blood, [and] to destroy souls, to get dishonest gain.

And her prophets have daubed them with untempered [morter], seeing vanity, and divining lies unto them, saying, Thus saith the Lord GOD, when the LORD hath not spoken.

The people of the land have used oppression, and exercised robbery, and have vexed the poor and needy: yea, they have oppressed the stranger wrongfully.

And I sought for a man among them, that should make up the hedge, and stand in the gap before me for the land, that I should not destroy it: but I found none.

Therefore have I poured out mine indignation upon them; I have consumed them with the fire of my wrath: their own way have I recompensed upon their heads, saith the Lord GOD.

Ezekiel 22:24-31 KJV

In verse thirty of the above Holy Scriptures, God declared that he searched for a man. God needs us in times of decision-making. He needs our contribution. God needs our help (boetheo).

God wanted to show mercy on his people, but he found no man to persuade Him. God became a man (Christ Jesus) to save us from sin and Satan (meditate on John 1:1-14, 1 Timothy 3:16).

God needed the body and blood of man to save humankind. He had to sacrifice himself for our sins so we could reconcile with the Trinity. God needs men to spread the gospel. People will not be saved without human beings preaching and teaching the gospel.

God needs us to expand the kingdom of heaven through evangelism and intercession. He needs our help. Although He can use angels, the earth is not their domain. The earth is the domain of human beings; therefore, God must use the right people.

God created the earth for humankind. He needs human beings to perform his roles on earth. Although God can use anything to complete his plans, humankind is needed in his works. As stated in the previous article, God can help us without human beings.

We cannot undermine the help of humanity. Before Christ Jesus (God Almighty) could fulfill his ministry on earth, he needed John the Baptist. John the Baptist (a human being) had to baptize and announce Christ Jesus to the Jews, religious people, and Gentiles.

Christ Jesus needed John the Baptist because He was the recognized prophet. John the Baptist was the authority figure in that season. Christ Jesus (God Almighty) needed the validation of John the Baptist and the Trinity to complete his assignment.

Christ Jesus had to train disciples (human beings) and empower them with the Holy Spirit to spread the gospel. This means there are circumstances you need the help of human beings. If the people God has assigned to help you fail to assist you, God, in his sovereignty, can use angels, animals, and anything to help you.

This is one reason I am writing on the ‛âzar (help) of God. Some people take advantage of the power God has given them. They use this authority to abuse those they are supposed to help. Secondly, humankind is vulnerable to sin and evil spirits.

The people that are supposed to help you can be corrupt. They can change their mind towards you (meditate on Numbers 23:19). The people supposed to help you can be manipulated by jealous people, demons, and Satanic agents.

When this happens, you need the ‛âzar of God. This is why I am writing about the help of God. I want you to put your faith in God. Your faith in God must be higher than your faith in humankind.

The fact that God can use humankind to help you does not mean you should put all your faith in them. Put your faith in God. If the person supposed to help you fails, God can use a different person to help you. God can use anything to help you.

The mysteries of the fish

And when they were come to Capernaum, they that received tribute [money] came to Peter, and said, Doth not your master pay tribute?

He saith, Yes. And when he was come into the house, Jesus prevented him, saying, What thinkest thou, Simon? of whom do the kings of the earth take custom or tribute? of their own children, or of strangers?

Peter saith unto him, Of strangers. Jesus saith unto him, Then are the children free.

Notwithstanding, lest we should offend them, go thou to the sea, and cast an hook, and take up the fish that first cometh up; and when thou hast opened his mouth, thou shalt find a piece of money: that take, and give unto them for me and thee.

Mattjew 17:24-27 KJV

When Christ Jesus came to Capernaum, the tax collectors needed tax (money) from his disciples. In that season, Christ Jesus and his disciples had little or no money on them. Christ Jesus did not want to borrow from people.

Christ Jesus did not want to embarrass himself and his disciples, so he told Peter to go to the sea. When he gets to the sea, he should cast out his hook. The first fish that comes out from the sea will contain money.

After removing the money from the fish, he should send a portion to pay the Romans (tax collectors) and bring the rest of the money to him. Child of God, this is a miracle! God can send miracle money!

If money could appear in a fish's mouth, what can’t God do for you? Where did the money come from? How did the money enter the fish? An angel of the Lord placed the money in the fish! That’s the hand (help) of God.

God can send money into your bank account if you believe it with all your heart. He can command angels to wire money into your account. An angel of God can appear in human form and supply your needs and wants.

Believe God for a miracle! You have to cast the hook into the sea. Until you cast the hook into the sea, the fish carrying your miracle will not appear. Obey the commands of God. God can speak to you through the Word, His servants, dreams, visions, trance, loved ones, and the Holy Spirit. Act on the Word of God as led by the Holy Spirit, and you will catch the miraculous fish (money, healing, favor, job, contract, and deliverance) with your hook (faith).

My testimony of miracle keceph

I needed money (keceph) for a church program. I had my Visa card (bank debit card). I could not use my Visa Card on any Automated Teller Machine (ATM) except the bank ATM I received the Visa Card.

That was the system of the bank I received my Visa card. Although the bank had several cards one could use at different ATMs, the Visa card I received could only be used in a specific bank ATM.

The time for the church was up. I did not have physical cash on me. The ATM of the bank I received the Visa card was not working that day. By faith, I went to a different bank ATM. I prayed from my heart.

I told God that I needed the money urgently for the church service, so he should allow my Visa card to withdraw cash from that ATM. I have tried using my Visa card at that ATM and several ATMs.

It did not work. My Visa Card only works in the bank and their branches' ATMs. By faith, I inserted my Visa card into that bank ATM. I could withdraw money from the ATM using my Visa card!

My Visa card was not linked to that bank ATM, but it worked! After the withdrawal, I went to the church program. Child of God, we serve a God of miracles. As stated, I have tried my Visa card on that ATM and different ATMs, but it didn’t work.

My Visa card only worked on my bank and their branch ATM because it was linked. However, my Visa card worked on a different bank ATM which was not linked to my bank. I could attend the church service with the physical cash that night. Glory to God!

If Christ Jesus could supply money through a fish's mouth, what can’t he do for you? It’s time to build faith in God (Christ Jesus) and His Word. With God, all things are possible. The place you never expected help would be the exact location God will use.

God can command animals to supply your needs and wants if you have faith. If money can come out from a fish, your needs and wants can come from animals and anything. Believe God for a miracle. Act on the Word of God as led by the Holy Spirit.

The seed of the five artos and two ichthus

And when the day began to wear away, then came the twelve, and said unto him, Send the multitude away, that they may go into the towns and country round about, and lodge, and get victuals: for we are here in a desert place.

But he said unto them, Give ye them to eat. And they said, We have no more but five loaves and two fishes; except we should go and buy meat for all this people.

For they were about five thousand men. And he said to his disciples, Make them sit down by fifties in a company.

And they did so, and made them all sit down.

Then he took the five loaves and the two fishes, and looking up to heaven, he blessed them, and brake, and gave to the disciples to set before the multitude.

And they did eat, and were all filled: and there was taken up of fragments that remained to them twelve baskets.

Luke 9:12-17 KJV

Many people followed Christ Jesus and his disciples when he walked on earth as a man. People loved to be around Christ Jesus because he preached the gospel and performed miracles.

In one of Christ Jesus’ missionary works, the people around him became hungry. The people had traveled far to hear Christ Jesus's teachings. If Christ Jesus sends them home, most of them will die out of hunger.

At that time, there were no cars, airplanes, trains, and motorbikes. Few people had donkeys, camels, and horses to travel long distances. Their main system of traveling was by land. They had to walk.

Christ Jesus did not want the people who came to hear the gospel to return hungry. He had to feed them. Examining the people in Christ Jesus' crusade, they were over five thousand (excluding women and children).

This means they were about fifteen thousand people. Note that the population at that time was small. The food available was five loaves of bread (artos) and two fishes (ichthus). There is no way two fishes and five loaves of bread can feed over ten thousand hungry human beings.

I could consume two fish and five loaves of bread within three hours, and there was no way that food could satisfy the multitude. Christ Jesus had to perform a miracle. He commanded his disciples to group the people.

After grouping the people, Christ Jesus blessed the two fishes and five loaves of bread. After blessing the two fishes and five loaves of bread, they multiplied. The people (over ten thousand people) ate to their satisfaction.

Extra twelve baskets remained after the people ate. This should tell you that the number of fish and loaves of bread increased. Sometimes God needs the little in your hands. If you can give a little of what you have to God, his church, and servants, He will multiply it by a thousand seeds. I have had several testimonies in giving and receiving.

I have observed that when I give from my heart or give the little I have, God returns it to me miraculously. I don’t know how He does it. When I give, I receive from God. The help of God will come when you take a step of faith.

You cannot expect the help of God if you cannot do something to prove your faith. Christ Jesus needed two fishes and five loaves of bread to feed over ten thousand people. God wants you to do something with your life.

Maybe you need a job, write an application letter to a company. Believe God for a miracle. The company will call you. You cannot sit in your room and expect God to write an application letter for you.

If you write and submit the application letter, God and his angels will do their part. Your little is the five loaves of bread and two fish (writing of the application letter). God will bless your artos and ichthus.

Maybe you believe in God for healing, take some medicine, exercise, and believe in God for healing. Perhaps you need a husband or wife. Come out of your room (hiding place) and let people see you.

God will touch the heart of someone to propose marriage. Maybe you need money to start a business. Start with the little you have. God will send helpers to your side. When God sees your little effort, He will multiply your labour.

God will reward your effort. The reason you cannot receive the help of God is that He has not seen your input (artos and ichthus). Let God see the little in your hands and heart. He will multiply your little seeds (two fishes and five loaves of bread).

Don’t sit in your room without doing anything. Start something. Do something positive with your life. When God sees your effort, He will help you. If you are called into the ministry, start evangelism, follow up, and pray, God will send helpers.

You cannot sit in your room and expect God to send helpers. Go into the market and streets. Start winning souls. When God sees your effort, He will help you. If you hold your two fishes and five loaves, you will not experience the ‛âzar of God. Are you holding unto your ichthus and artos?

The seed of the 'almanah

Now there cried a certain woman of the wives of the sons of the prophets unto Elisha, saying, Thy servant my husband is dead; and thou knowest that thy servant did fear the LORD: and the creditor is come to take unto him my two sons to be bondmen.

And Elisha said unto her, What shall I do for thee? tell me, what hast thou in the house? And she said, Thine handmaid hath not any thing in the house, save a pot of oil.

Then he said, Go, borrow thee vessels abroad of all thy neighbours, [even] empty vessels; borrow not a few.

And when thou art come in, thou shalt shut the door upon thee and upon thy sons, and shalt pour out into all those vessels, and thou shalt set aside that which is full.

So she went from him, and shut the door upon her and upon her sons, who brought [the vessels] to her; and she poured out.

And it came to pass, when the vessels were full, that she said unto her son, Bring me yet a vessel. And he said unto her, [There is] not a vessel more. And the oil stayed.

Then she came and told the man of God. And he said, Go, sell the oil, and pay thy debt, and live thou and thy children of the rest.

2 Kings 4:1-7 KJV

This widow ('almanah) was in debt. Her creditor was ready to compensate the debt with her two sons. The only thing the widow had was a pot of olive oil. God used Elisha to deliver the widow from poverty and her creditors.

God used the little the widow had to save her family. He multiplied the pot of olive oil. After multiplying the olive oil, the widow sold them to pay her debt. She used the rest of the money to supply her needs and wants. Her children did not struggle anymore because she exercised faith in the little she had. Are you ready to sacrifice the little you have to attract the help of God?

The second seed of the 'almanah

Arise, get thee to Zarephath, which [belongeth] to Zidon, and dwell there: behold, I have commanded a widow woman there to sustain thee.

So he arose and went to Zarephath. And when he came to the gate of the city, behold, the widow woman [was] there gathering of sticks: and he called to her, and said, Fetch me, I pray thee, a little water in a vessel, that I may drink.

And as she was going to fetch [it], he called to her, and said, Bring me, I pray thee, a morsel of bread in thine hand.

And she said, [As] the LORD thy God liveth, I have not a cake, but an handful of meal in a barrel, and a little oil in a cruse: and, behold, I [am] gathering two sticks, that I may go in and dress it for me and my son, that we may eat it, and die.

And Elijah said unto her, Fear not; go [and] do as thou hast said: but make me thereof a little cake first, and bring [it] unto me, and after make for thee and for thy son.

For thus saith the LORD God of Israel, The barrel of meal shall not waste, neither shall the cruse of oil fail, until the day [that] the LORD sendeth rain upon the earth.

And she went and did according to the saying of Elijah: and she, and he, and her house, did eat [many] days.

[And] the barrel of meal wasted not, neither did the cruse of oil fail, according to the word of the LORD, which he spake by Elijah.

1 Kings 17:9-16 KJV

A widow and her son in Israel were about to die from hunger. This widow was about to eat her last meal with her son. After the last meal, they would starve to death. When this widow gave (sacrificed) some of her small meal to Prophet Elijah (which symbolizes God), she had abundant food in her house.

God wanted the widow to give her little. When the woman exercised faith in God and gave the little, she had, God supplied her needs and wants. As stated, the barrel of meal wasted not, neither did the cruse of oil fail, according to the word of the LORD, which he spake by Elijah.”

The woman did not lack food in her house because she gave a portion of her little. What God needs from you is your little faith (seed). He wants you to exercise faith. When God sees your little input (seed), He will stretch forth his hands.

God will come to your aid when you sacrifice your most treasurable asset to build his house and help his servant. The widow could have ignored Elijah because that was her only meal. Even her last meal was not enough for herself and her son.

However, she gave a little to Elijah (a symbol of God). When God saw her generosity (faith) and integrity of heart, He helped her. Are you holding your last meal from God? God needs a portion of your last meal (money, land, time, energy, and asset). God wants you to sow a seed to his church and servant. Through your meal (seed), the help of God will flow into your life, family, and business.

The ‛âzar of David

And Saul said to David, Thou art not able to go against this Philistine to fight with him: for thou [art but] a youth, and he a man of war from his youth.

And David said unto Saul, Thy servant kept his father's sheep, and there came a lion, and a bear, and took a lamb out of the flock:

And I went out after him, and smote him, and delivered [it] out of his mouth: and when he arose against me, I caught [him] by his beard, and smote him, and slew him.

Thy servant slew both the lion and the bear: and this uncircumcised Philistine shall be as one of them, seeing he hath defied the armies of the living God.

David said moreover, The LORD that delivered me out of the paw of the lion, and out of the paw of the bear, he will deliver me out of the hand of this Philistine. And Saul said unto David, Go, and the LORD be with thee.

1 Samuel 17:33-37 KJV

When King Saul examined David, he recognized that David was not fit for the philistine champion (Goliath). However, David made a profound statement, The LORD that delivered me out of the paw of the lion, and out of the paw of the bear, he will deliver me out of the hand of this Philistine.”

Lions and bears are strong animals. It is almost impossible to fight and kill a lion and bear with your bare hands. David convinced King Saul that God empowered him to kill a lion and bear in the wilderness.

David was a young shepherd who looked after his father’s sheep. Jesse (David’s father) did not like David. Jesse dumped David in the wilderness to look after his flock. Wild animals such as lions and bears occasionally attacked Jesse’s sheep.

As a shepherd, David endangered himself. David was exposed to strange animals such as wolves, tigers, lions, bears, hippopotami, snakes, and several animals. A time came David had to face a lion and a bear because the lion came after his life and the lives of the sheep.

Child of God, if God could empower young David to kill a bear and lion with his bare hands or staff, what can’t he do for you? God would deliver you from your enemies if David could survive in the wilderness with lions, bears, tigers, pythons, and several poisonous animals.

If God could deliver David from the lions and bears, what can’t he do for you? It doesn’t matter how strong and destructive the enemy is; if God is for you, nobody can destroy you (meditate on Romans 8:31, 1 John 4:4, Psalms 118:6). Your family may ignore you just like Jesse dumped his son (David) in the wilderness. God has not abandoned you.

When my father and my mother forsake me, then the LORD will take me up.

Psalms 27:10 KJV

When your family, loved ones, and people in the workplace reject you, don’t give up on life. Don’t commit suicide because life looks hopeless. God has not rejected you. The people in the workplace, school, and home might not like you.

That doesn’t mean God dislikes you. God loves you with all his heart! You might be facing some lions and bears. God will give you the strength (grace) to face them. The enemy might be stronger than you physically.

You have the strongest and greatest God by your side (Christ Jesus). The King of Kings and Lord of Lords live in you. God Almighty (the Holy Spirit) is with you. His angels are protecting you (meditate on Psalms 34:7).

King Saul tried to kill David several times. However, God delivered David in every attempt. God will not allow your enemies to destroy or kill you. The enemy cannot kill you without God’s permission.

Face your Goliath with faith. God will take the lead. His angels will fight for you when you place your faith in His Word. The lions and bears are nothing when Christ Jesus is on your side (meditate on Hebrews 13:5, Psalms 34:7).

To be continued…
