The traffic jam on the Kumasi Road
I
will never forget the distress on the Kumai-Accra Road on my way back from a Christian
revival I attended in Kumasi Jubilee Park. It was a three-day program to thank
God for his mercies and seek His intervention. It’s a yearly program organized
by the Church from 29th December to 1st January.
While
returning from the program in one of the VIP air-conditioned passenger buses,
we had challenges on the road. The road was jammed with many cars returning
from church programs. While in the bus, I saw groups of unbelievers enjoying
with loudspeakers playing secular songs. Some were matching with cars on the
road, while some jammed near the roadside. The road was crowded with many vehicles,
so we had to take a narrow, rough route. On the bumpy road, numerous buses were
using that path. A journey that should have taken about four hours took about
eight hours to reach home.
The
only comfort we had on the journey was the air conditioning in the bus. While
sitting in the bus with the other Christians, I said to myself, Ghana is really
religious! Numerous people went to Church on the 31st night of
December to seek the face of God. The good news is that it has become a
tradition in Ghana to attend Church on 31st December. Those who never attended Church
all year attended on the 31st night of December!
Some
Christian believers even begin the new year with 3 days, 7 days, 21 days, and
40 days of fasting and prayers. Apostles, prophets, and pastors give mind-blowing
prophecies to empower the believers in the Church in this season.
However,
I have observed that, upon all the prayers, fasting, and prophecies, “we” keep
failing. Was it that God did not hear us? Well, I encourage you to read my
article, The Role of Knowledge and Prayers in the Field of Fruitful Leadership for more wisdom keys.
The quest for wisdom and understanding
We
can fast and pray and remain the same if we don’t take responsibility. You can
download my book, Take Responsibility, for a more profound revelation.
It is good to fast, pray, and receive prophecies.
However,
we have a responsibility to play. This is one reason God has given us the Holy
Bible as a guide. We have the Holy Spirit as our divine leader. We have leaders
and parents to guide us. God has given us brains to think. God gave us two
eyes, ears, hands, legs, nose, and other organs of the body for a reason.
Do
you tell God to brush your teeth when you wake up in the morning? Do you tell
God to bathe you when you smell bad? Do you tell God to unleash the feces in
your stomach when nature calls you? Do you tell God to feed you when you have money
and foodstuffs? Do you tell God to cross the road for you while on the highways?
You
use your five senses to do these things because it is your duty. One truth you
must know about life is that some things demand your input. We cannot expect
God to change something we are supposed to change. You can be the most talented
in music, football, writing, leadership, and movie acting. However, if you are
not disciplined, humble, consistent, and diligent, you will become a failure.
God expects us to use and increase what He has given us.
…God created man in his own
image, in the image of God created he him; male and female created he them.
And God blessed them, and God
said unto them, Be fruitful, and multiply, and replenish the earth, and subdue
it: and have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the air,
and over every living thing that moveth upon the earth.
Genesis
1:27-28 KJV
God
has given us the raw materials. However, it is our responsibility to process
the raw materials into finished goods. For example, God has given us water. We
can do many things with water. We can add specific ingredients to water to make
beverages.
We
can use water to multiply our harvest. We can use water to cook food. There are
numerous benefits of water. However, until we use our minds, we might think
water has no benefit. In the same way, God has given us trees, gold, diamonds,
fish, oil, and several natural resources. It is our responsibility to turn
these raw materials into consumable goods. Fasting and prayers do not play that
role. We must use our minds! Think of countries that develop rapidly. One
reason is that they use their mind profitably. You can be the best prayer
warrior and intercessor. However, you can fail if you fail to apply knowledge.
My people are destroyed for
lack of knowledge: because thou hast rejected knowledge, I will also reject
thee, that thou shalt be no priest to me: seeing thou hast forgotten the law of
thy God, I will also forget thy children.
Hosea
4:6 KJV
As for
my people, children are their oppressors, and women rule over them. O my
people, they which lead thee cause thee to err, and destroy the way of
thy paths.
Isaiah
3:12 KJV
Therefore my people are gone
into captivity, because they have no knowledge: and their honourable men
are famished, and their multitude dried up with thirst.
Isaiah
5:13 KJV
For my people is
foolish, they have not known me; they are sottish children, and they
have none understanding: they are wise to do evil, but to do good they
have no knowledge.
Jeremiah
4:22 KJV
Have
you ever asked yourself why you keep failing despite your prayers and devotion
to God? The sad truth is that many people have given up on Christianity because
of ignorance. Some have given up on ministry because of ignorance.
Several
marriages, businesses, ministries, and organizations fail because of ignorance.
You cannot do the same thing and expect a different result. For instance, you
can write a book in a month by writing a page or three pages daily.
You
cannot write a page daily and expect to write five books in a month. You have
to change the strategy. I encourage you to download and read my free book, How I Wrote 90 Books in 5 Years, for the practical, proven principles I used to
write 90 books in 5 years.
These
principles work because they have worked in my life. In today's world, some
people use Artificial intelligence to write books. It is so sympathetic. That
is not the best way. You have to write as led by the Holy Spirit.
Back
to my case, you cannot expect a change when you keep doing the same thing. You
have to change the strategy and the tactic. Ask yourself why I am failing
despite my efforts. If you can identify the reason for your failure, you will
know the best strategy to deploy to become successful.
Do
you know that you can be doing the right thing at the wrong time? Do you know that
you can be doing the wrong thing with a good heart? Doing a bad thing with a
pure heart will not bring the desired result. You have to do the right thing
with a good heart at the right time.
You have fasted and prayed for a long time. You might have fasted for 3 days, 7 days, 21 days, and 40 days, yet you keep failing. Have you asked yourself why your fasting and prayers keep failing? I encourage you to download and read my books.

As
stated, you cannot expect a change if you don’t change the strategy (system).
Sit down in a quiet place and ask yourself why things keep failing despite my
input. In 2020, 2021, 2022, 2023, and 2024, you prayed, fasted, and even sowed
seeds into some ministries.
However,
your expectation failed. Have you asked yourself why you failed in those years?
In 2025, you fasted, prayed, and sowed financial seeds into Christian ministries.
However, you failed. Do you want to repeat that same mistake this year?
It
is time to conduct a thorough analysis and identify the root cause of the
failure. If you succeeded in some aspect of your life, repeat and build those
strategies. I encourage you to download my books on wisdom for a more
profound revelation. Below are some sectors you should review and amend, as
they may be the reason for your failure despite your devotion. Kindly share the link to this article to save a life.
Seven Wisdom Keys to Total Deliverance
1. The Finance factor
One
thing I have realized about life is that we spend a lot on things we don’t
need. In economics, we have needs and wants. Needs are things we cannot do
without. For instance, food and water are basic needs. We need them in our
daily lives.
Wants
are things we can live without. We can live without a car and a wristwatch.
Some people spend a lot of money on things they do not need for the current
season. Maybe in your current season, you might not need a car.
The
fact that your friends are driving their own cars does not mean you should buy
a car or take a loan to buy one. When you live above your means, you will
struggle to make progress. Some people spend a lot of money buying internet
data to watch unnecessary videos on social media.
Calculate
the amount of internet data you buy monthly, and you will realize that you have
spent a lot of money that could have been used to do something better. Spending
too much to buy expensive food at restaurants and hotels can be a barrier to
your success. At your current stage, you should be cooking your food and
keeping it in the fridge to save money. It is not compulsory to take business
class flights or private jets.
If
you are taking a business class flight or a private jet to attend a profitable
business, then that’s good, or if you are taking that business flight and private
plane to save time for another profitable occasion, that’s good.
However,
if your current situation requires you to take economy class, do so to save
money. Have you thought about the maintenance of the things you are buying? Wasting
money on prostitutes and unprofitable things must be addressed. You cannot
spend more than you earn and expect to become successful. You can pray all the
prayers in the world. However, failure to monitor your expenses and income will
lead to destruction. Learn to save, invest, and diversify. Your prayers will
bear much fruit if you follow these wisdom keys.
2. The timeline factor
You
can be the most prayerful in the Church. However, failure to manage your time
and mind can lead to disaster. Wasting your precious time watching unnecessary
videos and doing unnecessary things on Facebook, TikTok, WhatsApp, Instagram, Snapchat,
and other social media channels is a pathway to failure.
A false balance is
abomination to the LORD: but a just weight is his delight.
Proverbs
11:1 KJV
Spending
a lot of time watching unnecessary television programs is a liability to your
progress. The sad news is that thousands of television stations fight daily for
our attention, time, and money. However, most people have failed to detect
these traps. Some people spend long hours watching seasonal movies on their electronic
devices. As a matter of fact, some people walk with a power bank.
When
their electronic device battery becomes weak while watching videos, they charge
the device and keep watching the videos! In the car, the washroom, workplace,
and at social gatherings, they are addicted to their electronic device! The
electronic device has become an idol, replacing God and their relationship with
real people.
Some
people also spend long hours playing electronic games. I have been in this
situation, so I know this invisible prison. You can be the most devoted person
in the Church. However, failing to manage your time limits your progress. Some
people attend every social gathering.
There
is no wedding, funeral, or party you will not find these people at. As a matter
of fact, some people invite themselves without any invitation cards. Such an
attitude limits your progress because you are wasting valuable time.
I
know there are times we have to have fun. However, you must prioritize the urgent,
important, and necessary things. You cannot be sleeping and enjoying all the
time and expect a change. Laziness is a great disease. You have fasted and
prayed. You have received great prophecies.
However, manage your time and mind well. Contend for the prophecies because prophecies do not appear on a silver platter. You have to do something about the prophecies to make them happen. Prayer is great. However, stop wasting time on unnecessary things. Be hardworking and see the hand of God in your life. I encourage you to download and read my book, Stop Complaining and Start Complying, for a more profound revelation.
3. The dark life factor
Do
you know that sin can sabotage your blessings? Well, let’s read from the Holy
Bible.
He that covereth his sins
shall not prosper: but whoso confesseth and forsaketh them shall have
mercy.
Proverbs
28:13 KJV
Sin
activates curses and opens the portal for evil spirits to hijack our progress.
However, one of the secret weapons the enemy uses to block our breakthrough is
invisible sins. Invisible sins such as pride, jealousy, hatred, and
unforgiveness can be a barrier to our blessings. You might be failing in your
marital life because you don’t want to submit to your husband.
Failing
to love your wife can also be a significant factor that can hinder progress. Communication
and sacrifice are low, and this is breaking the relationship. It is good to
fast and pray. However, do you apply common sense in the relationship? Are you
submissive to the godly laws in your workplace? Are you obedient to
authorities? Are you antisocial? Repent to make a turnaround because fasting
and praying with these dark habits will not bear much fruit. It doesn’t matter
how fertile a seed is; if you don’t deal with the weeds and harmful animals
around it, the seed will die.
4. The Spiritual factor
You
might be hardworking, disciplined, and obedient to superiors. However, are you
a prayerful person? Do you fast and pray often as the Holy Spirit leads you?
This point might contradict some of the wisdom keys I have shared.
However,
I am not contradicting myself. If you read and understood my point, you will
understand that I am not against fasting and prayers. It is just that some
people pursue the half-truth. It is good to be disciplined, hardworking,
consistent, and time-conscious.
However,
failure to fast and pray, as led by the Holy Spirit, can open the door for evil
spirits to limit you. Have you asked yourself why you keep failing despite your
hard work and discipline? It is because you have ignored the foundation.
Dominating
the spiritual world builds your foundation. Building on sand is just a matter
of time. You have to build on a strong foundation. You might have applied the
best principles of success, yet you keep failing.
One
reason for your failure is that you have not dealt with the foundation. There
might be some hidden curses, satanic altars, evil yokes, evil covenants, and
wicked powers limiting your progress.
It
might be that you don’t have time for the Holy Spirit. Your fellowship and
relationship with the Holy Spirit are weak. You might be good at business. You
might even be hardworking. However, if you don’t build a solid foundation, your
work will crumble in the long run.
It is time to sow seeds into the ministry. It is time to engage the Holy Spirit to help you. It is time to build your spiritual fortress. It is time to dominate the unseen forces hindering your progress through Spirit-led fasting and prayer. I encourage you to download and read my books on spiritual warfare, one of which is Dominating the Dark Kingdom.
5. The Mindset factor
Your
mind is an invisible leader. What you know has a significant impact on your
life. What you don’t know can determine your success or failure. You have
fasted and prayed. However, you have not read enough books. You have not put
into practice what you have learned.
You
have not dealt with the faulty ideologies and beliefs. You have no successful mentors
and counselors to guide you. You lack the wisdom in the Holy Bible. It is time
to read books on ministry, finances, marriage, business, and technology. Flash
out the wrong information by unlearning it. Learn the right information and
relearn the relevant ones.
Read
relevant books to build your mindset and emotions. Study and meditate more on
the Holy Bible. The Holy Bible is the best guide. Read the Holy Bible to grow
in the wisdom of God. Watch educational videos online. Listen to songs that will
empower you to do great things. Watch important programs on television. Listen
to important podcasts, learn from the mistakes of successful people, and apply
their successful principles. Listen to great music that can boost your spirit,
soul, and body. Your fasting, prayers, and prophecies will yield results when
you follow these master keys.
6. The Association factor
Be ye not unequally yoked
together with unbelievers: for what fellowship hath righteousness with
unrighteousness? and what communion hath light with darkness?
And what concord hath Christ
with Belial? or what part hath he that believeth with an infidel?
And what agreement hath the
temple of God with idols? for ye are the temple of the living God; as God hath
said, I will dwell in them, and walk in them; and I will be their
God, and they shall be my people.
Wherefore come out from among
them, and be ye separate, saith the Lord, and touch not the unclean thing;
and I will receive you,
And will be a Father unto
you, and ye shall be my sons and daughters, saith the Lord Almighty.
2 Corinthians 6:14-18
Do
you know that the people in your circle can determine your success or failure?
You can have the best strategies. However, if the people around you constantly
sabotage the plans God has for you, exit the friendship. Are the people around you
visionary and supportive of your godly plans? If you keep failing despite your
input, check the people you associate with and make changes. Associate with
people of integrity and purpose to speed up your prayers, purpose, and
progress.
7. The environmental factor
Your
environment has a significant impact on your success. An eagle cannot survive
in an Ocean. A lion cannot survive in a sea. A bird cannot survive on land for
a long time. A fish cannot survive on dry land. You can have great plans. However,
your location can limit or empower it. Put a fish in the sea, and you will see its
power. Put the lion in the jungle, and it will manifest.
Allow
the eagle to fly in the air, because that is its jurisdiction. Are you a fish
living on dry land? God knew Abraham had to change location to flourish. Your
location can be a great factor for your success or failure. Are you ready to
take action?
