The heart of humankind
I
have come to realize that most people are naturally jealous, selfish, insecure,
and evil. The sad news is that few people have a pure heart! You will hardly
meet these people. However, you are more likely to encounter godly people if
you have a pure heart. I am writing from experience. When I meet someone with a
wicked heart, I can discern. Even if I don’t discern the evil heart of the
person, the Holy Spirit will reveal the person to me in dreams and visions.
If
I encounter a vessel with a pure heart, I can discern. Most often, my spirit easily
connects with pure vessels. However, I usually feel resistance when I encounter
people with wicked hearts. It is one of the graces the Holy Spirit
has bestowed on me. It is a divine shield that protects me from wicked vessels.
Have you ever felt insecure in your soul, spirit, neighborhood, workplace, and church?
Naturally, the heart of humankind is evil! It is no news that the Holy Bible confirms
these virtues.
The heart is deceitful
above all things, and desperately wicked: who can know it?

What is man, that he
should be clean? and he which is born of a woman, that he should be
righteous?
Behold, he putteth no trust
in his saints; yea, the heavens are not clean in his sight.
How much more abominable and
filthy is man, which drinketh iniquity like water?

This is an evil among
all things that are done under the sun, that there is one event
unto all: yea, also the heart of the sons of men is full of evil, and madness is
in their heart while they live, and after that they go to the dead.
Ecclesiastes 9:3 KJV
For from within, out of the
heart of men, proceed evil thoughts, adulteries, fornications, murders,
Thefts, covetousness,
wickedness, deceit, lasciviousness, an evil eye, blasphemy, pride, foolishness:

So,
we can see from the Holy Scriptures that we cannot fully trust those close to
us or ourselves (meditate on Proverbs 28:26 for a more profound revelation). Recently,
I was watching a documentary on television. In the video, a woman murdered her
two children in cold blood. After murdering her children, she denied and
pretended that she knew nothing of the crime.
When
the investigation and evidence exposed her wickedness, the woman claimed that
she did not have time to have fun because of her children. What can make a
woman murder her two children in cold blood with such an excuse? Such is the
world we live in! I encourage you to read books about serial killers to grow in
wisdom. Putting all your faith in humankind and losing faith in God places you
under a curse.

the LORD; Cursed be the man that trusteth in man, and maketh flesh his
arm, and whose heart departeth from the LORD.

As
stated, most people are naturally wicked, selfish, jealous, and insecure. To
conclude the matter, wickedness dwells in “every” heart (meditate on Proverbs 28:26).
Who knew David, a man who loved God with his heart, could kill a man (Uriah)
who trusted him. After killing the man, David snatched his wife! That’s the
heart of humankind. By the way, David repented. We cannot trust people who are
not born again. This is one reason Christ Jesus stated that a man’s enemy shall
be those of his own household.
…a man's
foes shall be they of his own household.

One
strategy that has helped me throughout my life is the wisdom the Holy Spirit
has revealed to me. I don’t want to keep to myself. Keeping it to myself will
be unfair. Child of God, to live a victorious life despite the enemy’s
persistent attacks, embrace Christ Jesus with all your heart. When Christ Jesus
comes into your life, He gives you power over the enemy, sin, self (pride), and
the deception of the world (Luke 10:19).
The
more you feed on the Holy Bible, the more the Holy Spirit sharpens you in
wisdom, knowledge, and understanding (1 Peter 2:2; Hebrews 4:12). I love to
fellowship with the Holy Spirit through spiritual songs. The more I fellowship
with the Holy Spirit, the more secure, refreshed, and empowered I become.
Daily, I feed on the word of God to grow spiritually. I love prayers. I
dedicate adequate time to commune with the Holy Spirit. There are days I fast
and seek the face of God. These daily activities have delivered me from the enemy's
traps and empowered me to live a victorious Christian life. Do you remember the
words of our Savior and Lord, Jesus Christ?
Watch and
pray, that ye enter not into temptation: the spirit indeed is willing,
but the flesh is weak.
Matthew 26:41 KJV
Failure
to watch and pray makes us vulnerable to the enemy's attacks. It is our
responsibility to stay alert and pray as Christ Jesus commanded. Like a
security officer at a company, he ensures the workers and customers are safe. The
security man keeps an eye on the company to make sure no criminals break in.
Some
companies even set up security systems that prevent people from breaking into the
company’s assets. In the same way, we must stay alert by guarding and guiding
our minds with the word of God (1 Peter 5:8-9, 2 Corinthians 10:3-5, Ephesians
6:10-18). We must secure our gates through Spirit-led fasting, prayer, the word
of God, and fellowship with the Holy Spirit. It is time to guard your heart,
blessed one of God!
Keep thy
heart with all diligence; for out of it are the issues of life.

Below
are simple, practical, and unstoppable ways of guarding your heart. The ability
to guard your heart is a great way to a victorious life. One of the reasons we fail in life is that we fail to guard our hearts. To
guard our hearts means we protect ourselves from negative (evil) internal and
external influences that destroy our peace, focus, and purpose. To become
successful, purposeful, and joyful in life, we must first protect our hearts
because they are the doorway to our souls, spirits, and bodies.
Our
decisions, vision, ambition, attitude, and hope stand in the heart. In other
words, our heart is the doorway to success or failure. Below are 17 proven ways
to guard your heart. When your heart is free from internal and external evil
energies and forces, nothing can stop you from becoming who God has made you to

1. Embrace Christ Jesus
I
have come to realize that Christ Jesus is real. By God’s grace, I have had
spiritual, soulish, and physical experiences with Christ Jesus and the Holy
Spirit. Child of God, Christ Jesus is real! When Christ Jesus comes into our lives,
He sets us free from the invisible forces that hold our freedom.
However,
you must understand the spiritual laws that activate this freedom. I know
several Christian believers who are in bondage despite their “submission” to
Christ Jesus. I encourage you to download and read my books on spiritual

When
Christ Jesus comes into our hearts, He makes our hearts His home. Imagine the
King of Kings and Lord of Lords occupying your heart? What can’t you do? We can
do anything through Christ Jesus who strengthens us! Greater is He that lives
in us than the one that lives in this world. Repent from your sin and confess
Christ Jesus as the Savior and Lord of your life. Your heart will become the
arena of God Almighty. When Christ Jesus comes into your heart, the enemy
cannot stay!
2. Listen to inspired songs
Do
you know that music has a significant impact on our souls, spirits, and bodies?
David, Apostle Paul, and several vessels God used knew the power of spiritual
songs (meditate on Colossians 3:16, Ephesians 5:19, Acts 16:25, Psalms 119:62).
Try Spirit-filled music if you want a peaceful heart and environment. If you
come to my apartment, you are more likely to hear Spirit-filled music playing
on my sound system or television. On my electronic devices, I often listen to
inspired Christian songs. I play inspired Christian songs at a low frequency
when I’m about to sleep.
Spiritual
songs and hymnals have a spiritual impact on the atmosphere. Some songs are
divinely inspired by the Holy Spirit, holy angels, and Holy Scriptures. The
more you play these songs, the more you charge the atmosphere for the holy
spiritual forces to surround your environment, spirit, and soul. When the holy
spiritual forces surround your environment, your heart becomes a stronghold
against negative energies.
In
the same way, some songs are inspired by evil spirits. The more you play these
songs, the more you invite evil spirits and negative energies, which will
damage your environment and heart. The words and sounds that come from songs
can be a great booster or hindrance to your joy, peace, and success (meditate
on Proverbs 18:21).
Make
it a habit to consistently play songs inspired by the Holy Spirit. If you want a
joyful and sanctified environment, consistently play inspired Christian praise music and connect with the music in your heart. If you want to saturate your
environment and heart with the presence and peace of the Holy Spirit,
consistently play worship songs. Connect your heart with the music. Try this

3. Watch important videos
Our eyes receive from what they watch. If you want to guard your heart from
the dark influences of the world, make it a habit to watch important documentaries,
your pastor's sermons, and educational videos. The more you watch these videos,
the more your heart gets important information to process.
However,
consistently watching horror and evil videos damages your heart. When this
happens, dark energies begin to dominate you. When evil energies dominate you,
demons and unclean spirits begin to impress, suppress, depress, and oppress
you. If you want a focused, peaceful heart, disconnect from dark videos and
connect with important ones, because they are gateways (meditate on Proverbs
4:23).
4. Engage your mind
I have thousands of books on my electronic devices. I read daily to grow
spiritually, financially, socially, technologically, psychologically, and
physically. Reading books does not mean you should read any book. Some books
are destructive to your soul. The best book I recommend is the Holy Bible. You
can also read Christian and self-help books that are rooted in the Holy Bible.
Be led by the Holy Spirit before reading a book because some books can corrupt
you.
When
you engage with good books, the worries and arrows of the enemy will not
dominate you. While the enemy is busily projecting his attacks, the books you
are reading will take your focus away from his devices (meditate on Ephesians
6:11). The good news is that you learn new things when you read daily. With this
information, you can do greater things. The enemy cannot dominate you when you have
adequate knowledge. The enemy cannot dominate you when your mind is occupied
with resourceful information (meditate on 2 Corinthians 10:3-5). Freely

5. Play some games
There is a popular rhyme that says, “All work and no play makes Jack a dull boy.” There is time for everything. A time to work and a time to have fun (See Ecclesiastes 3:1-9). Why should you concentrate on the destructive criticism of the enemy when you can enjoy some games? Once in a blue moon, play electronic and home games to make yourself happy!
However,
do not become addicted to electronic games, as they can be time-consuming. While
you enjoy your game, the enemy will not get your attention to plant seeds of
hatred, fear, pain, rejection, and failure. Once in a while, I play games on my
electronic device. Why should I give my energy to the enemy when I can have fun
with my electronic devices? Your energy is too precious to give to unimportant
enemies! Have fun, but be time-conscious!
6. Watch some funny videos
As stated, I am giving you practical wisdom keys to guard your heart from the enemy and evil influences. You cannot be serious all the time. Be flexible sometimes! Learn to adapt when the situation demands a change. There are times I watch funny videos to reduce stress. I would rather watch funny videos and laugh than give attention to some enemies!
One
truth about the enemy is that he wants your attention. When the enemy gets your
attention, he can release his weapons. The good news is that the enemy has no
power over you if he does not have your attention. I don’t have time for some
enemies. I will rather watch funny videos on my electronic devices than allow
the enemy to contaminate my heart with bitterness, fear, confusion, an inferiority
complex, anger, and confusion. Once in a while, watch funny or clean comedy
videos to take your heart away from enemies and dark energies.
7. Get out of the dark zone
There
are times when you must temporarily leave your environment because evil forces
and energies might have dominated the atmosphere. When you find yourself in a
hostile environment, locate a peaceful and cheerful place full of optimistic
people and talk with them. Connect with people who have a pure heart.
Find a place you feel peaceful. If you can find a cool place to relax, stay in
that place for some time to recharge yourself. The more you revive yourself in
these places, the more your heart revives.
I
am an introvert, so I feel more peaceful in a calm, relaxed environment with green trees and sweet air. I enjoy nature. I love watching wildlife and living
in pleasant places with few people. You may be an extrovert, connect with genuine
people, and have fun in a clean environment filled with good videos, inspiring
music, and delicious food! The enemy will not have access to you when you
follow these master keys.
8. Commune with the Holy Spirit
What a wonderful partner we have! The Holy Spirit is the best friend to guard our souls from the enemy and negative energies. I encourage you to download and read all my books on the Holy Spirit.
