My Testimony of how God delivered me from Satanic powers (Duodu Henry Appiahkorang)

Transcript of the message I shared on youtube in 2020

All right, loved ones in Christ, we thank God for this powerful day. Initially, I shared my testimony in Ghanaian, and now I want to share it in English. Can we pray?

Father, in the name of Jesus, let this testimony change lives and transform others. In Jesus’ name, Amen.

 

All right, loved ones in Christ Jesus, this is brother or minister Duodu Henry Appiahkorang. And I want to share my testimony with you of how God saved me from the traps of the wicked one. I believe that this sermon or this testimony is going to change your life.

 

Because some people who went through my path could not make it, and some of them are dead. I know friends who are insane and mad on the street because they couldn't make it. But God has shown mercy upon my life, so I want to share this testimony with you.

 

This incident happened while I was at university. When I entered the university in 2013, I was admitted to a program leading to a Bachelor of Science in Accounting. So, while I was at school, I had a friend in Koforidua. He was near our house, and I used to go to his house and then play around with him.

 

I didn't know my friend was an idol worshiper. He was an Ewe, a tribe in Ghana most often found in the Volta Region. So this friend of mine, as I was going to his house, we started talking, and over time, I became closer to him.

 

So one day I was in the house with him as we were talking together. This friend of mine took me to his idol center, his shrine. By the way, I never knew that this friend of mine was an idol worshipper.

 

So when he took me to this idol-worship center, he did some kind of incantations and other rituals there. Initially, before you enter his idol shrine, you have to remove your sandals. So I removed my sandals and I entered there.

 

I became familiar with him and found out that he is an idol worshipper. So I became aware that he's an idol worshipper. So one day I also went to his house, and he said I should follow him, so I followed him.

 

He took me to a certain place, and we took some leaves, like he took some leaves from certain trees. And then he brought it back to his idol place. That is where he lives. At that time, he lived with his parents near our house.

 

Our house was not all that far from their place. So when he took me to this bushy place, he plucked some leaves from certain trees, and brought them back to his idol place, I was with him. When we went to the place to pluck these leaves, he was the one plucking them, and I was just watching him.

 

So when we came back to his idol center, initially, there was a pot in front of his idol shrine. There was a pot in front of the shrine, and inside it was water. The pot had a hole under it. This friend had plugged a kind of tree, a kind of stick, beneath the pot, and the water wasn't flowing down, even though there were holes under the pot. But no water was coming out of the pot.

 

So he took the pot and then poured the water away. And then, after he and I went with him to take the leaves from the bush, he washed them with some water. And then he poured new water into that pot and began to make some incantations over it.

 

So while he was making the incantation, the water was coming out. I saw, as I could, that water was coming out of the pot! As he continued his incantation, the water in the pot suddenly stopped flowing.

 

I saw a hole under the pot, but after making the incantation with the leaves and some words, the water did not come out again. And then he took some of the leaves that we went out to pluck from the bush.

 

And then he took some kind of thread. He wrapped the thread around my waist and gave me some of the water inside the pot to drink. The pot upon which he made the incantation. So I drank a little.

 

And then he took some thread and some leaves, wrapped them around my waist, and made some kind of incantation. And then at that time he allowed me to undress, but it was left in my boxers.

 

That is, it was only left with my boxers. So, after he gave me some of the water to drink, he just made an incantation and took away the leaves and the thread from me. When he took the leaves and the thread away from me, he bathed me with some of the water inside the pot.

 

And then he took those leaves and that thread to a certain place. I don't know why he made that incantation. Maybe I believe he was trying to make some kind of sacrifice or ceremonial sacrifice on me.

 

So after he made that sacrifice, he made that incantation, then he bathed me with that water.

He now told me that anytime I'm in trouble, I should call upon a certain god. He gave me that name.

 

The name of the god was Nana Jojo Hadwo. He told me that— that friend of mine told me that, maybe in case I'm in trouble and need help, I should call upon that god. And the name of that god, he told me to mention, was, I remember, Nana Jojo Hadwo.

 

That is what he told me, that I should mention that name. So after he did all those things to my life, I became more troublesome and very stubborn at home. And then whatever he told me, I followed.

 

A time came, and he was very close to me. Like we walked together, we go to places. And a time came when he even wanted to give me a ring, and I didn't take it. By the grace of God, I didn't take that ring.

 

So what happened was that I needed some money to buy a specific laptop. I already had a laptop, but I wanted to get a modern laptop, like an i7, and then those templates. And I wanted to buy many, many things.

 

And I was asking my parents for the money to buy those things, but they weren't giving it to me. So I told that friend of mine he should consult his gods and have his god make me some money, because I wanted that money to buy those modern laptops.

 

So one day he called me, and we went to his idol-worship center. And then he made an incantation, called upon his god, shouted and cried, and did many other things, but nothing happened.

 

So he told me that my issue is that we need to consult a more experienced juju priest who can do it better than he can. So he took me to an old man in Monrovia. It was near Koforidua Apenkwa. He took me to an old man in Monrovia.

 

When he took me to the old man in Monrovia, when we went to the old man's place, the old man told us to buy him two cigarettes and some small alcohol. So we went to buy the two cigarettes and then the alcohol, and then we brought it back to the old man.

 

So the old man took it and entered his idol, his shrine, and within minutes, he came back. And he told us that he has consorted with his gods. Initially, I saw that place as extremely diabolical because it seemed to be reserved only for him.

 

He did not allow us to enter with him in that place. He only went there, and my friend and I were standing outside his old house. So when he came out from the shrine, he told us that he had consulted his gods.

 

And after consulting his gods, his gods are saying that there are only two ways that he can help me. It is either he gives me a “pocket no dry.” Now, what he said was that this “pocket no dry”—like he would give me an amount of money, let's say 50 Ghana cedis —and I can use that money to buy anything I want.

 

When I buy anything I want, I should make sure I do not exceed that amount. So let's say he gives me 50 Ghana cedis, and then I'll go to any shop and buy whatever I want. When I buy something from the shop, I should not spend more than the 50 Ghana cedis he gave me.

 

So after I give out that money, the balance that comes to me, that 50 Ghana, will return to my wallet. So that's what he told me. And then he told me again that I should look into my family, the second option that he gave to me.

 

So he told me that I should look into my family, the richest one in my family, and bring that person's belongings. He will make some chants, and then he can change the person's mind so that, no matter what I tell that person, the person will give me whatever I need.

 

So he told me to think about it. So I just thought through, and I said this thing, I'm not sure. With my friend, I didn't agree with either option. And then he told us that he also knows another greater juju man, or a priest who can also do it.

 

Because I told the old man that I wanted that instant money to do what I wanted. And my friend was the one who was taking me to these people. So the old man said that he would take us to a certain place.

 

Now I've gotten that place, but that place, when you're going to Suhum in the Eastern Region of Ghana, it is a village. I know that place. If you say I should show you that place, I can show you that place.

 

So we went to that place, and the old man led us there. That's how the old man led us to the place. So we went to the place. It is a village. The old man told us that we should buy some alcohol.

 

We bought some alcohol and then he led us to that shrine. We went to that shrine. From that time, I did not see the old man again, the one who brought us to the idol worshipper in that village.

 

So by the grace of God, we met— I’m saying the grace of God— well, we met the people in that place. And then I told him my problem. And then he told me he'd need some materials. The priest told me he'll need a marine hair, a dwarf, and something like strange things.

 

And then I told him I couldn't provide those things. Is there any way out? And he told me that if I have money, I can give it out, and then he has a friend who can go to Togo and buy all the things they need for the sacrifice.

 

So at that time, I had my school fees with me, along with the hostel fees I was supposed to pay at the university. They were on me. So I gave him a portion of the money, and he told me that he would go and buy all those materials, so we should take our time.

 

Initially, I went back with David, my friend who had taken me to that old man, to that place. So he told us to come back in three days. So, three days later, we came back, and he told us they had gone to buy the materials.

 

So now I have to go buy perfume, powder, a nice perfume, and many, many other things he told me I should buy. So that he can use those things to make the ritual. So he told us to go and buy those things.

 

So we took a car and went back to Koforidua to buy the powder, the perfume, some kind of good-smelling material, and a bag. That's the money that we will use to carry our money. So I also bought an exercise book—sorry, a bag with that powder and all those things —and then we came back to the shrine.

 

So when we returned to the shrine, he performed some incantations inside the shrine. When you're entering, you have to remove your sandals. So my friend and I removed our sandals and entered there.

 

And since my friend was an idol worshipper, he understood them. There were two inside the shrine with my friend, so we were four in total. So the man brought a pot and then poured some powder into it.

 

And added some kind of materials, and he was making some incantation. He was like chanting, like he was shouting, chanting, making some incantations. Then he told me to go bathe with that water in the pot.

 

And whilst I am bathing, I should tell the god what I want. He gave me the name of the god, but I have forgotten it. So he told me to go bathe with that water. Beside the house, there was a bathhouse.

 

And he told me that after bathing, when I'm coming back, I should not look backward; if I do, something may happen to me. So I took the pot and then went into the bathroom beside the shrine.

 

And then, as I was bathing with the water in the pot, I mentioned the god's name and said I wanted money; I wanted to buy this. Like I told him, all my heart desires — all that I needed — as I was making the confession and bathing with the water.

 

After bathing with the water in the pot, as I was going back to the shrine, I could feel that something was following me. I could feel like I was very heavy — like something. I could feel in my heart that something was following me.

 

I remembered he told me that I should not look back; who knows, if I looked back, maybe I would have gone mad or died. I believe that God saved me from this trap. So I went back to the shrine, and then he told me that he had made incantations several times.

He even showed me a thread — some kind of thread — and told me he has even sent some of his dwarves to the banks to collect the money, but they still can't take it from the bank. So he was saying that in my house, the powers are strong, so I have to be more vigilant.

 

So after making several incantations, he brought out 20 Ghana cedis. And he told me to go share the money with my family. When I share the money in my family, the money will come back into my bag.

 

So I told him I cannot share the money with my family because my parents know I am in school. Because when I went with my friend to that place, at that time, they had given me money to go to school.

 

So at that time, my parents knew I was in school, while I was with my friend who had taken me there. So I told him that I cannot send the money to my family and then share it with them. So he told me to go outside the shrine, then bring the first leaf I saw into the shrine.

 

So I went out and plugged the first leaf I set my eye on. I just unplugged the leaf and brought it to the juju man or the priest. And he told me again that I should walk barefoot to a junction, then take some dust from under my feet.

 

He told me that when I get to the junction, I should get some sand or dust under my feet and then bring it to him. Because he's going to use it for something — I don't know what he was going to use it for.

 

So I just walked barefoot to the junction, then picked up some sand under my foot and brought it to him at the shrine. After I gave it to him, he told me that everything was okay. So now I can share the 20 cedis with anyone I meet on the road or anyone I want to give it to. Or I should buy something with the money and give it out to friends or anybody.

 

Now, let me just share this thing here. Loved ones in Christ, when someone gives you money, you must pray over the money because some money is very, very, very dangerous. Some forms of money are not physical.

 

Some of the money that you have been dying for — if you don't take care, somebody can give you some money, and you might die because they have made some kind of charms over the money.

 

So my advice is to not be too covetous of money. Because when he gave me that money, he told me to go share it with my family. And I objected that I cannot share the money with my family. And he told me that, since I could not do that, he gave me another option: I was to walk barefoot to a junction, and he would take some sand from under my feet.

 

Maybe — I don't know — he was going to use that sand to monitor me. So when he gave me 20 Ghana cedis, he told me to share some of the money with the people in the household where he lives.

 

So when I came out of the shrine, I gave out 10 Ghana cedis to the people in the house. And then from there, I took a car straight from Koforidua to Madina — that is where my school was. So, in Madina, in a taxi, I encountered a girl, a lady.

 

As I was talking to the lady, I told her I wanted to be friends, so if she likes, we can be friends. As I was talking with her, something occurred to me that I should give her the remaining 10 cedis there.

 

But in my heart, I wasn't feeling well. So, as I was about to give her the money, I felt it wasn't right. But I don't know what happened — the lady resisted and didn't take the money from me. So that money was on me, and I went into the hostel.

 

When I went to the hostel, the school was resuming, so there weren't many people there. I was the only one in the room, waiting for my roommate. And there were a few students around the hostel.

 

So I slept, and the next day it was Sunday. And at the university, we usually go for CYF every Sunday evening — that is, Covenant Youth Fellowship. That is where we have our regular student church program.

 

So every Sunday evening, a brother comes into the hostel and takes us to this church meeting. So when he came into the room, he told me to join him and them in the church meeting. But something was pressing me to not go.

 

And something was telling me that if I don't give out the money, I'm going to die. Like Satan was telling me in the spirit, someone was pressing me whilst I was in the room. So I told the brother, "Brother, please, I cannot go with you today; let us make it another day."

 

But I don't know what happened — this brother was still pressuring me. I think the brother was called Brother Francis. God bless that man for having the time. Because I told him I would not go, I cannot go, but this brother was pushing me to go with him.

 

What would have happened if I had not gone with him? Because before I could even come to the hostel, sometimes when I'm sleeping, I could feel that someone was trying to attack me. But with all these things, God still had mercy upon me.

 

So this brother was able to take me to the church meeting, the CYF (Covenant Youth Fellowship). So when I went to the church, something in me told me to confess. I don't know what came over me, but I felt in my heart that I should make a confession. Because I could feel that if I don't make a confession and leave this church, if I go to the hostel, I might die.

 

So I went straight to the pastor and said, "Pastor, I have a confession to make." "I've gone to a shrine, and they have told me to make some sacrifice and then shed some money, so I'm afraid I would die."

 

The pastor told me not to be afraid; just let me tell the church. So I made a confession at CYF.

I remember, I think the pastor at that time was Pastor Philip, I think. After making the confession, he told me to put the 10 cedis into the offering bowl.

 

So I just put the remaining 10 cedis into the offering bowl. Then he gave me some water to drink; he told me it was the blood of Jesus, so I should drink it. When I drank the water, he laid his hands upon me and prayed for me.

 

And he told me that nothing bad will happen to me. So when the juju man or the priest calls me, I should not respond. And that was how our God set me free from that power of darkness.

 

Loved ones in Christ, my advice to you is what would have happened if the brother had not come into the hostel and taken me? You must understand that Jesus Christ has power over every force of darkness.

 

The friends that you choose, or the friends that you try to fellowship with, can lead you into destruction. In my case, it was a friend who lured me into this idol worship and strange places.

 

Out of covetousness, he led me to that place, and that friend was used by the devil to destroy my life. The devil knew that God had something good for me, so he wanted to terminate my life. As I'm talking right now, the friend who led me into that idolatry is now a man of God.

 

He is a preacher serving in a small ministry, a church. And by the grace of God, God has set me free from the powers of darkness. What would have happened because, as I went through all those things, I could see death.

I could feel death. I could sense death near me once I went to that place. Because after I bathed with all those things — with that water, with that powder, and all those things — I could feel that some spirits were trying to possess me spiritually.

 

Trying to torment me — I could feel death all around me. But Jesus Christ delivered me. So loved ones in Christ, be careful with the friends you choose. The Bible says in 2 Corinthians 6:14, "Be not unequally yoked with unbelievers." For what has light to do with darkness?

 

So, as a Christian, you must know which friends you choose. Because the friends you choose can either make you or unmake you. In my case, it was a friend who wanted to destroy my life. The devil was using my friend to destroy my life.

 

So it means that if I had died at that time, all the books that God was about to use me to write would have been a waste of time. All that God wanted to use me to do in these end times would have been a waste.

 

Because the devil saw my star, the devil saw what God was about to do with me. He wanted to use a channel to destroy my life. Child of God, there is something that God has for you, and you must understand that the devil has studied you.

 

He wants to use covetousness, he wants to use ungodly friends, and he wants to use others to destroy your Christian life. Child of God, don't allow covetousness. Don't allow ungodly friends.

 

Choose wise friends. Choose friends who fear God. Friends that walk in the holiness of Christ, friends that love Jesus Christ, that love God. God has set me free from the trap of the wicked one.

 

And I believe that Jesus Christ can also save you and set you free from every trap of the wicked one if only you believe. The name of Jesus Christ is above every other name. The name of Jesus Christ is above every other principality.

 

The Bible says, "At the name of Jesus Christ every knee must bow, and every tongue must confess that Jesus Christ is Lord." All the water that my friend used to bathe me with, all the thread used to bathe me, and all that I went through.

 

The man at the shrine told me to bathe with that enchanted water. He commanded me that I shouldn't look back. If I had looked back, I don't know what would have happened; I may have died or gone mad.

 

But Jesus Christ set me free from the traps of the wicked one. So loved ones in Christ, believe that Jesus Christ has a purpose for you. Don't allow the devil, don't allow the enemy to destroy your Christian life.

 

You are called to be a pastor. You are called to be an evangelist. You are called to be a teacher. You are called to be an apostle. You are called to be a prophet. You are called to be a soul winner.

 

Win souls in the church. Be a shepherd in a church. Be a leader. God is calling you out of that darkness to be a light unto others. The money that you are striving for cannot save you. The Bible says that the love of money is the root of all evil.

 

Money is not evil, but the love of money can make you do evil. At the time, it was the love of money that led me to these shrines. It was the love of money that opened the portal for the enemy to access my life.

 

It was the love of money that was leading me to my premature death. It was the love of money that made this friend of mine take me into these shrines and abominable places. So child of God, don't allow the temptations of this world to destroy you. The devil came to tempt Jesus Christ; he told Him to turn the stone into bread.

 

But Jesus Christ told him that man shall not live by bread alone. The devil wants to substitute the things of God for temporal possessions. He wants everyone to just use the mansions and all the things that we see around to destroy our Christian life.

 

Concentrate on Jesus Christ. Be focused on Jesus Christ. Love Jesus Christ. Jesus Christ has everything that we are fighting for. Jesus Christ can make a way where there seems to be no way.

 

All things belong to Jesus Christ. So loved ones in Christ, never allow the devil. Never allow temptations. Never allow ungodly friends. Never allow the things that you see around you to destroy your Christian virtue.

 

Be focused and love Jesus Christ. Be in the church. Help others. Pray for others. There is a gift God has given you; you can help others with it. I'll not talk very much. If you know you are not born again, you have not given your life to Jesus Christ. I want you to give your life to Jesus Christ. You can lift up your two hands and pray right after me. You say:

 

"Heavenly Father, I come to you in the name of Jesus Christ, Lord. I am a sinner and I need your mercy. I confess Jesus Christ as my Lord and my Savior. Say: Lord Jesus, help me and empower me in this end time." Amen.”

 

If you have prayed after me, believe that all your sins are washed away by the blood of Jesus Christ. Find a Bible-believing church and fellowship with them. This is Minister or Brother Duodu Henry Appiahkorang.

I rebuke them, I bind them, and I cast them into the lake of fire in the name of Jesus Christ. Be empowered. Love God and serve God. Receive wisdom, receive revelation, receive mercy in the name of Jesus Christ, I have prayed. Amen.
