Understanding the Ways and Thoughts of God: How God Uses the Enemy to Help You Enter Your Promised Land (1)

 

The Question: Who is Jesus? and Who is God?

Most often, we limit God (Yahweh) to the level of our understanding, and this makes us think God is uncaring and illogical. Some people doubt God's existence because of the wickedness and injustice in this world.

Some people have become Atheists while others follow strange faith and spiritual paths to understand God. You must know about God that you cannot understand some of His ways until you are born again.

A man is declared born again when he repents and confesses to Christ Jesus as His Saviour and Lord of His life. It takes a man born of the Spirit, water, and blood to understand the mindset of God because God works with and through the Holy Spirit.

Even in that position, man is limited because God only reveals a part of Himself (limits Himself) to the Christian believer. The more you fellowship with the Holy Spirit, you discover an aspect of God. Like an experienced worker, he grows in work because of his continuous practice in producing goods and services. One way to know God is to search the Word (Holy Scriptures) because God reveals Himself through the Word.

The Word is an inspired book written by holy vessels (See 2 Timothy 3:16-17). The Spirit of God inspired human vessels to write the thoughts of God. Inside the Holy Scriptures, you will discover some attributes, personality, and character of God. You can read Paul Washer's book titled, Knowing God for more profound revelations.

You cannot see God with your physical eyes because God is a Spirit (See John 4:24). He lives in a world called the Spiritual world. The human body cannot access this world because it is a world for spiritual beings and our spirit.

As for the solar systems, a man can't live on planets Mercury, Venus, and Mars because of the rocky and hot atmosphere. God created these planets for other creations. Jupiter, Saturn, Uranus, Neptune, and Pluto are not conducive for human existence because of poisonous gaseous substances and coldness.

No man can live on the moon because it has no light, heat, and life. Some scientists and researchers use satellites, rockets, temporal oxygen, and other apparatus to work on those solar systems.

Forces like gravitation and centripetal are not available to make humans live on those planets. God, in His wisdom, created these planets for specific reasons. Spiritual beings are the only forces mandated to live in those worlds.

Coming back to the ways of God, I gave this scenario to make you understand that some things in this world go beyond the natural mind. You cannot quantify God in a vacuum because He holds the vacuum.

You cannot pour 7000 billion litres of water into 5 litres of a water container. God is too big to reduce Him to the level of your wisdom, knowledge, and understanding. The Solar system is within God.

The sun, galaxies, planets, and moon are within God. You cannot limit God under matter, energy and time because these spaces emanate from Him. Time, energy and matter exist in God. God became a man and lived among humankind.

 

And without controversy great is the mystery of godliness: God was manifest in the flesh, justified in the Spirit, seen of angels, preached unto the Gentiles, believed on in the world, received up into glory

If you want to know some aspects of God, study the personality and life of Christ Jesus because Christ Jesus is God Almighty (Meditate on John 1:1-14 and read more on this website). However, some religious groups compare Christ Jesus with Krishna, Buddha, Mohammed, Zoroaster, and other famous people.

None of these people can stand before Christ Jesus because Christ Jesus died and rose on the third day. Christ Jesus' birth was supernatural because Virgin Mary conceived Jesus without any sexual intercourse or sperm transplant.

The Holy Spirit breathed into the womb of Mary, and the seed grew into Christ Jesus. So, if you want to know some character, personality, and ways of God, study Christ Jesus and search the Holy Scriptures.

Although some theologians have discovered some books (Apocrypha), they consider uninspired by the Holy Spirit and unauthoritative (non-canon). Some people also have had some encounters with God in the Spirit.

You can read some of these testimonies in their books and blogs. I have had several encounters in the Spirit by God's grace, but the Holy Spirit has restricted me from publishing most of them. Child of God, whether you believe in the existence of God or not, Christ Jesus (KING of Kings) is alive.

God is not dead. Some people have created some movies to defend the existence of God. Some Christian authors have also written books to defend the existence of God. Several videos on youtube validate the existence of God.

Many Christian Apologists and theologians have written good books, articles, and recorded videos online about the existence of God. It is better to believe in something and later found out that it is true. If you disbelieve in the existence of God and later found out that God is alive, you lose.

It is a matter of faith. Believing in the person of God (Christ Jesus) and His existence takes strong faith because many things and activities in this world prove the existence of God. I don't believe in the big bang theory and other religious philosophies because there is a cause to everything.

For example, the article you are reading on your phone, tablet, sheet, and the electronic device did not appear by itself. I (Duodu Henry Appiah-korang) sacrificed my time, money, and energy to write and publish it with the help of the Holy Spirit.

God created the moon, sun, planets, stars, human beings, and animals. The tangible things you see in this world did not appear by themselves. A Supernatural Creator (Yahweh, Christ Jesus) is behind these creations.

No one created God (Yahweh) because He is self-existent. Life emanates from Him. The sun receives light and heat from God, whiles the moon receives light from the sun. Without God, nothing exists, so trying to understand God with your limited mind makes it impossible.

This is one reason I want to share with you some ways and thoughts of God. Knowing this truth will help you know that God is not against you. You can read my series of articles for more profound revelations.

Whatever God created is good (See Genesis 1:4,10,12,18,21,25,31). It is the Spirit of sin that corrupted God's creation in the beginning. Some creation of God disobeyed God's Word by obeying the Spirit of Sin. 

When these spiritual forces obeyed the Spirit of sin, they became rebellious in the sight of God and corrupted the other creatures of God.

Because of this corruption, the world became evil. Christ Jesus came to the world to save humankind from the Spirit of sin and the rebellious spiritual forces to enable us to reconcile to the Heavenly Father. You can read my series of articles and series of books for more profound revelations.

 

Understanding the Ways and Thoughts of God (Yahweh)

In the book of Isaiah, we see a profound Word.

 

Let the wicked forsake his way, and the unrighteous man his thoughts: and let him return unto the LORD, and he will have mercy upon him; and to our God, for he will abundantly pardon.

For my thoughts are not your thoughts, neither are your ways my ways, saith the LORD.

For as the heavens are higher than the earth, so are my ways higher than your ways, and my thoughts than your thoughts

Isaiah 55:7-9 KJV

God declares that the thoughts (plans and purpose) of men are not His thoughts. God further declares that His ways (wisdom and perceptions) are not the ways of men. An unbeliever thought patterns and strategies differ from God's system.

Until the man becomes born again, he remains under the deception of the enemy. One reason the unbelievers reject Christ Jesus and the church is that most of their ideologies violate the wisdom of God.

 

For what man knoweth the things of a man, save the spirit of man which is in him? even, so the things of God knoweth no man, but the Spirit of God.

Now we have received, not the spirit of the world, but the spirit which is of God; that we might know the things that are freely given to us of God.

Which things also we speak, not in the words which man's wisdom teacheth, but which the Holy Ghost teacheth; comparing spiritual things with spiritual.

But the natural man receiveth not the things of the Spirit of God: for they are foolishness unto him: neither can he know them, because they are spiritually discerned.

1 Corinthians 2:11-14 KJV

This is one reason unbelievers hate God and the church. These people have not understood the protocols, ways, thoughts, power, wisdom, systems, and laws of God. They think their discoveries exceed the wisdom of God, but it is a borrowed wisdom from God.

God is slow to anger and full of mercies. Because of this virtue, He delays His judgment. Most often, when we (Christian believers) go through some pain and trials, we stumble in our Christian faith. Child of God, Christianity is a walk of faith.

...without faith it is impossible to please him: for he that cometh to God must believe that he is, and that he is a rewarder of them that diligently seek him.

Hebrews 11:6 KJV

God allows some things to happen in our lives to enable us to see His glory. In the book of John, we see a profound Word.

 

And as Jesus passed by, he saw a man which was blind from his birth.

And his disciples asked him, saying, Master, who did sin, this man, or his parents, that he was born blind?

Jesus answered, Neither hath this man sinned, nor his parents: but that the works of God should be made manifest in him.

John 9:1-3 KJV

Christ Jesus and His disciples encountered a blind man who was born from his birth. The disciples of Christ Jesus asked whether the parents of this blind man have sinned. Christ Jesus replied that God wanted His glory to shine through the suffering of this blind man.

Imagine the pain this blind man went through to prove the glory of God. Sometimes God allows certain things to happen in the life of His children to enable us to know and understand His power.

When Judas Iscariot brought the Romans soldiers to arrest Christ Jesus, Jesus declared He could command thousands of angels to destroy the soldiers. Why didn’t Jesus command the angels to fight the Roman Soldiers?

Because Christ Jesus has to pass through pain, it was in the plans of God that our Saviour and Lord Jesus die on the cross for our sins (Meditate on Isaiah 53:1-12). God could save humankind by wiping out Adam and His descendant and creating a new set of people, but He chose to save us through Christ Jesus.

Christ Jesus allowed John the Baptist to baptize Him because He had to fulfil the decreed prophecies of God. Christ Jesus allowed the baptism because He wanted men to see the glory of God (fulfilling righteousness).

God allowed Satan to destroy Job's family, business, and wealth because God wanted to show forth His glory. Child of God, don’t give up on the Christian faith because you are going through injustice, pain, and rejection.

It is part of God's training to make you enter your promised land. God does not delight in the suffering of His children. He allows suffering because He wants to break your childish behaviour and prepare you for the harvest.

 

…we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to his purpose.

Romans 8:28 KJV

Apostle Paul writes that all things work together for your good if you love God (Christ Jesus, the church and neighbors) with all your heart. If God has called you to work in the vineyard (kingdom), your mistakes and the plans of the enemy will work for your good.

God will work with you to accomplish the task despite the opposition. Think of Joseph; his brothers hated him because of the glory he carried. His brothers plan to kill him, and Reuben (the elderly brother of Joseph) intervened.

Reuben suggested they throw Joseph into a pit. He wanted to rescue his brother Joseph from his wicked brothers. When they threw Joseph into the pit, Reuben hid on a mountain because he wanted his wicked brothers to depart to enable him to rescue Joseph.

Sadly, Reuben's plans failed. As Joseph lay in the dark pit, the brothers of Joseph saw the Midianites approaching. Judah had some sympathy for his brother Joseph, so he suggested selling Joseph as a slave than killing him.

Child of God, understand that God can touch the heart of your enemies, not destroy you. Reuben tried to prevent the death of Joseph, but God used a different strategy. On the other hand, Judah thought it was evil to kill Joseph, so he suggested they sell Joseph to the Midianites, not knowing it was in the plans of God to send Joseph to Egypt.

I believe Jacob (Father of Joseph) would never have allowed Joseph to enter Egypt if Joseph was with Him. God knew why He allowed Joseph’s brothers to sell Joseph to the Midianites. The Midianites bargained for a higher price by selling Joseph to an Egyptian captain called Potiphar.

Joseph became a slave in Egypt. All this while, God was training Joseph. Potiphar’s wife tried several times to seduce Joseph with adultery (premarital sex), but Joseph rejected it. After several attempts, Potiphar’s wife falsely accused Joseph of rape. 

Joseph should have died for this false accusation, but God soften the heart of Potiphar, so he imprisoned him. Joseph lived in prison for over two years and worked in Egypt as a slave for over twenty years.

Imagine Joseph's pain as a slave, prisoner, and condemned rapist, but God allowed Joseph to pass through this pain for specific reasons. God allowed Joseph to pass through this path because He wanted to train him.

Joseph learned human service, fear of God, humility, and leadership. At the end of the training, God opened a leadership door for Joseph. Joseph became the second in command in the land of Egypt. When Joseph's brothers discovered Joseph as the leader in Egypt, they trembled.

Joseph tested his brothers whether they have repented. At the end of the story, Joseph made a profound statement to his brothers.

 

…when Joseph's brethren saw that their father was dead, they said, Joseph will peradventure hate us, and will certainly requite us all the evil which we did unto him.

And they sent a messenger unto Joseph, saying, Thy father did command before he died, saying,

So shall ye say unto Joseph, Forgive, I pray thee now, the trespass of thy brethren, and their sin; for they did unto thee evil: and now, we pray thee, forgive the trespass of the servants of the God of thy father. And Joseph wept when they spake unto him.

And his brethren also went and fell down before his face; and they said, Behold, we be thy servants.

And Joseph said unto them, Fear not: for am I in the place of God?

But as for you, ye thought evil against me; but God meant it unto good, to bring to pass, as it is this day, to save much people alive.

Now therefore fear ye not: I will nourish you, and your little ones. And he comforted them, and spake kindly unto them.

Genesis 50:15-21 KJV

Your enemies might think they are destroying you, not knowing they are pushing you to your glory (Promised Land). Like Joseph, he said to his brothers, “Fear not: for am I in the place of God? But as for you, ye thought evil against me; but God meant it unto good, to bring to pass, as it is this day, to save much people alive.”

Child of God, you may be going through discomfort, pain, rejection, and injustice, but understand that God is with you. The rejection, insults, pain, persecutions, and injustice are for a reason, so don't give up on Christ Jesus and the church.

Can I present to you that God is preparing you for the harvest? Your family may reject you because it is part of God's training to build you for the blessings and leadership. Pass through the godly process set up by the church, workplace, school, and home because it is part of the training.

Without adequate training, you cannot take the leadership (blessings) God has prepared for you. If your love for Christ Jesus and the church is greater than the love of the world, whatever you are going through will always work for your good. Glory to God! Encourage yourself with this Word.
