Mark 5:25 And a certain woman, which had an issue of blood twelve years,

Mark 5:26 And had suffered many things of many physicians, and had spent all that she had, and was nothing bettered, but rather grew worse,

Mark 5:27 When she had heard of Jesus, came in the press behind, and touched his garment.

Mark 5:28 For she said, If I may touch but his clothes, I shall be whole.

Mark 5:29 And straightway the fountain of her blood was dried up; and she felt in her body that she was healed of that plague.

Mark 5:30 AND JESUS, IMMEDIATELY KNOWING IN HIMSELF THAT VIRTUE HAD GONE OUT OF HIM, turned him about in the press, and said, Who touched my clothes?

A car without gasoline cannot move until it receives gasoline because gasoline supplies energy to the car. Some cars move with gas. Until we supply gasoline to the car, the car will never move because that is how the car is designed. The same principle applies to every Christian. We need the Holy Spirit to enable us to move in the spirit.

When the Holy Spirit moves out of our lives, we become dead in the spirit. The Holy Spirit is the best Person to empower us in the spirit. When the Holy Spirit enters our life, He supplies the strength we need in our Christian life.

We can see from the above scriptures that when the woman touched Jesus Christ with faith, virtue went out of Jesus. Jesus Christ felt power has left His spirit, so He enquired from the crowd who touched Him. The revelation behind this scripture is clear and concise.

When we spend time with people instead of spending time with the Holy Spirit, our spiritual power drains. The people we surround ourselves with can drain or empower us spiritually. If you don’t have time to fellowship with the Holy Spirit, your spiritual power and capacity will diminish. The words of the unbelievers can drain you spiritually.

If you concentrate on the destructive criticism and the opinions of people, virtue will run out from your spirit. Fellowship with the Holy Spirit through spiritual songs and through the Word. Connect with people who can empower you in the spirit. Pray consistently in tongues because it edifies you in the spirit and enables you to pray according to the will of God (See 1 Corinthians 14:4, Romans 8:26-27). Don’t give all your precious time to the unbelievers because they will drain and make you backslide (See 2 Corinthians 6:14-18, Psalm 1:1-3).

I fellowship with the Holy Spirit through spiritual songs most of the time because it helps me stand stronger in the Lord. Connect with people full of the Holy Spirit because they increase the flow and the power of the Holy Spirit in your life. Spend time with the Word and with anointed messages by anointed men of God, especially your shepherd in the church. Follow this path and you will see a significant change in your life.

Divine Key: Constance fellowship with the world will drain you spiritually.
