Escaping the Dark Prison to Access the Unquenchable Light (77 Master Keys to Freedom)
- 6. Activate the ground
Within the prison arena
Sometimes
I marvel when I see friends and loved ones looking down on themselves. Looking
down on yourself creates an invisible virus that fights your potential. Constantly
looking down on yourself makes you attractive to evil spirits, pretenders,
losers, and wicked people.
When
wicked people and evil spirits feels comfortable in your environment, they fight
good things coming your way. Self-pity may attract sympathy. However, in the
long run, you will not be able to become who God has made you to be if you don’t
deal with this virus.
In
the book of Joshua, chapter one, verses eight and nine, God encouraged Joshua
to be strong. God was constantly commanding Joshua to be of good courage
because he needed that energy to succeed. I encourage you to download and read
my book, How to Break the spirit of Inferiority Complex, for more wisdom
keys. The book is free on my blog.
Most
often, people who look down on themselves look down on others. They have an infection,
I call the dark prison syndrome. Often, people who look down on themselves are
defeated souls. Defeated people usually see you as proud when you decide to
make something new.
They
may call you humble if you look down on yourself. However, that is not real
humility. It’s another form of manipulation. Looking down on yourself makes people
take advantage of you. Some people will even use that opportunity to abuse you.
I do not allow my color, financial status, and social status to hold the seed
within.
The
fact that I live in a “developing country,” as some organizations perceive Ghana,
does not mean I cannot succeed. I may be living in Ghana. However, I am not
limited to Ghana. I live in different parts of the world in my mind! My vision extends
far beyond my immediate surroundings. One thing I have realized about most
blacks, to be precise, Africans, is that we often look down on ourselves. We
allow foreigners to dominate us unconsciously.
We
will rather kill our own and raise the stranger. I recall a conversation I had
with a preacher on the streets of Accra. The man said that if he were a
Nigerian, he would become successful.
He
continued, Ghanaians do not support their own. Ghanaians love foreigners more than
their own. He said that Nigerians are far better than Ghanaians because
Nigerians tend to support one another.
However,
Ghanaians don’t love each other. I could feel the pain in his heart as he talked.
He spoke from his experience. There might be some truths in his statement. However,
I will not agree with everything he said.
Maybe
he did not meet the right Ghanaians. If he met the right Ghanaians, they would
have helped him. I have also had a similar experience. However, I conclude that
I have not met the right people in Ghana. I know many good Ghanaians are ready
to help one another. However, they are scarce.
Nigerians
may have a supporting spirit. However, there are good and bad Nigerians. Every
country has its good and bad sides. Ghana may be more generous to foreigners.
If that statement is true, then it’s a good spirit.
However,
it is time we love our own. It is time Africans love Africans. I believe the
system training Africans has programmed “us” to act that way. Like a dog. If a
dog is chained in its infancy, it will be comfortable in chains in its
adulthood.
However,
if a dog is not chained in its infancy and you begin to chain it in adulthood,
the dog will retaliate and oppose the chain. Unfortunately, most Africans are
chained in their infancy; therefore, they feel comfortable in their chains in their adulthood.
By
the way, Africans are not dogs. I used that analogy to explain my point. The
sad news is that most African leaders are comfortable in their chains. Most of
our leaders are overly dependent on foreign aid.
The
educational system in most African countries teaches us to rely on foreigners
instead of building ourselves through technical and vocational schools. Most
schools, media centers, parents, leaders, community centers, and some churches
teach us to be more dependent on foreign aid.
The
system that is supposed to teach us how to refine our natural resources into
consumable goods is instead teaching us to trade our resources cheaply. We are
not trained to be independent. We are trained to be dependent on a system that
is not suitable for accommodating productivity.
Most
African schools train people to rely on government jobs, but the jobs are not
available. The leaders tasked with restructuring the educational system often
fail to implement change, thereby producing defeated leaders and citizens with
weak mindsets.
Why
do you think most Americans and Europeans flourish? It’s because of their
mindset! Most of them have trained their mind to be successful. They are
trained to be independent and self-reliant. These vessels view themselves as
prosperous, while most Africans perceive themselves as poor.
What
will make an African sell all his property to travel to America or Europe? It’s
because most Africans believe that they will be successful in America or
Europe. Most Africans believe that America and Europe are full of greener
pastures, so they escape their country to work like slaves in America and
Europe.
They
see America or Europe as a Kind of Heaven. The African will prefer to die on
his way to America than stay and prosper in his hometown because of his weak mindset.
The African believes that he will not prosper in his country.
However,
he believes that he will prosper in America or Europe. In the mind of most
Africans, traveling to America or Europe is a divine breakthrough. What a
tragedy! What a weak mentality! If the African can adopt a winning mindset in
America, that same mindset can help him succeed in Africa! (I love Obeng Darko
for that!)
Until
we change our mindset, we remain the same. We cannot become successful until we
are successful in our minds. Inferiority complex is killing our potential. The
slavery mentality is alive and working!
Until
we unlearn and erase the strange beliefs, ideologies, philosophies, mindsets,
and limiting cultures, we cannot grow as Africans. After all, Americans,
Europeans, Asians, and Africans have twenty-four hours a day.
Whatever
the Americans, Europeans, and Asians can do, Africans can do it and even do it
better. I am not writing this article out of jealousy, pride, or competition. A
revolution is needed in Africa!
We need a winning mindset in our generation. Most of our leaders have failed us because they were trained with these slavery mindset, “Africa cannot develop herself, Africa must send their natural resources to foreigners at an extremely cheap price before they can succeed, Africa cannot grow without the intervention of America and Europe, Africa is poor, Africa needs aid, Africa cannot decide without input of Americans and Europeans, Africa is corrupt, Africa is cursed, Africa is this, Africa is that.” Bla, bla, blaa. Bla, bla, blaa.
That
is how Africans have been programmed. That is how most of our leaders have been
taught, so they are unable to make bold decisions. They are bound unconsciously
to rely on foreigners. There is nothing wrong with asking for help.
However,
we should not have the mindset that we cannot grow without the assistance of
others. We can grow as Africans! We must change the narrative. Africa is prosperous,
Africa is not corrupt, Africa can refine its resources, Africa is great, Africa
can grow without the intervention of foreign nations, Africa will manufacture
and export expensive electronic devices to other countries, Africa is the home
of technology, Africa is the home of power, and Africa is the center of innovation.
This
is not pride. We are building an unbeatable mindset. We need a new set of
African breeds with a winning mindset. Talk of electronic devices, digital
devices, social devices, and physical devices that the Americans, Europeans,
and Asians have created, Africans have made similar and better ones. However,
we look down on ourselves. We will rather kill our own and promote others. That’s
a weak mindset. We must activate the winning mindset!
The mindset of the footballers
I
remember watching the 2022 FIFA World Cup finals. The match was between France
and Argentina. The game was very tough and fun. Analyzing the French squad, I
noticed that over 90% of the players were of African descent.
I
said to myself, 'These are Africans wearing French jerseys.' It’s Africans versus
South Americans (Argentina team)!. I said to some of the people watching the
football match, 'This is Africa versus Argentina.'
We
must support the Africans because the French football team is predominantly
African. Although the French government is taking some actions towards certain
African countries, I do not support these decisions.
At
the time of the football match, I was supporting the France team because it
was, and I think it is still an African team. So, what is my point? If Africans
(the French football team) could reach the FIFA World Cup finals and play head
with Argentina, why do we (Africans) look down on ourselves?
I
firmly believe that one reason the African team (the French football team) did
not win the World Cup was due to the fear some of the African players displayed
during the penalty shoot-out stage. I could see Kylian Mbappé, the Cameroonian (African) striker, and several African stars full of courage on the field!
These
African players were full of hope! I could see that Kylian Mbappé wanted to win
the FIFA World Cup for the Africans (the French national team). By the way, I
still have issues with the French government because of how they are treating
some African countries and citizens.
However,
my love was for the African stars playing for France at the FIFA 2022 World Cup.
My problem was that if these players, who were playing for France, were playing
for their African national team, they might not have performed as well as they
did in France.
One
reason the African stars playing for France performed well in the World Cup was
that they were playing for a recognized country. The Africans saw France as a
powerful country, so they played with all their might, skills, and heart.
That’s
a winning mindset! However, place the African squad that played for France in an African
national team. Their performance will be weak due to the mentality that African
teams are inferior. Many Africans believe they cannot win the FIFA World Cup
because they have a weak mindset.
However,
Africans playing for the French national team could reach the final. They
scored three goals for France. They played extra time and then took penalty
kicks. However, this same squad will not reach the final if they were to play
in an African national team. It’s a problem of the mind!
I
am using the FIFA World Cup and the African football team in France as an
analogy to help you understand my point, as it is the easiest scenario I can present.
If you examine most African teams that have participated in the FIFA World Cup,
only a few have advanced to the round of 16, semi-finals, and quarter-finals.
We
are so limited in our mindset that we become defeated before the football match
begins. As a result, we are unable to perform well in tournaments. We must
change our mindset to become successful.
Recently
(June 2025), Senegal defeated England by three goals to one. It is said that
England is one of the top football teams in the world. However, Senegal
defeated them in an international match.
Since
the inception of football, no African team has been able to defeat England.
However, Senegal changed the record in June 2025. Do you know that Cameroon
defeated Brazil in the 2022 FIFA World Cup? Morocco also defeated Portugal, Spain, and
Belgium in the 2022 FIFA World Cup. There are several occasions where some
African teams have defeated “top football teams.”
Until
we program our minds for success, we will remain in the dungeon. It shouldn’t
be a surprise for an African team to defeat a top-performing team like Brazil,
England, Germany, Argentina, Spain, Italy, or France (I think France is an
African team).
We
must program our minds to be successful. I used football as an example because
I want you to understand the topic better. I don’t want you to program yourself
like a defeated warrior. You must win the battle in your mind before you enter
the battleground. Every winner has a winning mindset!
Until
your mind wins the battle, defeat is inevitable. One reason most American and
European countries grow is because of their mindset. They believe that they are
powerful, successful, and great.
Because
of this mindset, they grow irrespective of the jurisdiction. China and several
countries are experiencing rapid growth because they have also developed a
winning mindset. It is time for Africans to build a winning mindset. We must
not solely depend on foreigners.
We
must rise above the mediocrity stage and climb the mountain top. Most of the
products and services we import into our continent can be produced in Africa. Regarding
electronic devices, digital devices, physical devices, and consumables, we can
grow and manufacture them in Africa.
The truth of the matter is that foreign nations and organizations depend on our raw materials to manufacture the products they export into Africa. The foreigners cheaply buy our raw materials and refine them.
After refining our raw materials, they export the refined materials to us at an expensive price. Africa possesses
the natural and human resources to achieve success. We need to cultivate a
mindset that fosters resourcefulness and resilience. The Holy Bible states that
we can do all things through Christ Jesus, who strengthens us (see Philippians
4:13).
We
must renew our minds (meditate on Romans 12:2). We must think positively and
take action (meditate on Philippians 4:8). Being logical has its place.
However, there comes a time when we must act outside our logical realm to
achieve greater things. The lion is not the largest, tallest, strongest, or
smartest in the jungle.
However,
the lion sees itself as the king of the jungle. That’s a winning mindset! You
don’t have to possess all the resources, connections, fame, and power to become
successful. What natural resources do China, America, Europe, and most Asian
countries have? They have little or none.
However,
they are achieving great things. That’s a winning mindset! We need one master key,
the unbeatable mindset (the winning mindset). Let me share seven master keys
with you that you can use to build an unstoppable mindset.
I
encourage you to download and read my books on wisdom, especially 777 Uncommon Benefits of Reading Books and this book, Stop Complaining and Start Complying. The books are free on my blog. Below are
the seven key components to a winning mindset. Kindly share the link to this article to save a life.
How to Build an Unbeatable Mindset (7 Master Keys)
1. Embrace Christ Jesus
I can do all things through
Christ which strengtheneth me.
Philippians
4:13 KJV
Christ
Jesus is the power and authority of life. Without Christ Jesus, we cannot do
anything. When you repent from sin and accept Christ Jesus as the Savior and
Lord of your life, the Holy Spirit enters your life.
When
the Holy Spirit enters your life, He gives you the power (key) to do things
that glorify Christ Jesus. As Apostle Paul stated, “I can do
all things through Christ which strengtheneth me.” We can do greater and mightier
things because Christ Jesus dwells in us.
Nothing can limit Christ
Jesus, because He is all-powerful, all-knowing, and everywhere. Accept Christ
Jesus as your Savior and Lord to receive the winning mindset. Pray this short
prayer to receive this gift.
Heavenly
Father, I come to you in the name of Christ Jesus. I repent of all my sins. I
confess Christ Jesus as my Lord and Savior. I receive the Holy Spirit into my
heart. Holy Spirit, please help me to become successful in the name of Jesus
Christ. Amen
2. Be full of the light
My people are destroyed for
lack of knowledge…
Hosea 4:6 KJV
To
build the winning mindset, you need the knowledge that brings deliverance. Many
books can help you build the winning mindset. However, the best book to start
with is the Holy Bible. The truth in the Holy Bible does not fail.
Become
one with the Holy Bible, and your mind will be full of light (meditate on
Psalms 119:105, Romans 12:2, Hebrews 4:12, Philippians 4:8). This world rests
in darkness. You need the unquenchable light to become who God has made you to
become.
You
can also read other resourceful books to build a winning mindset. However,
apply wisdom when reading certain books. Watch resourceful videos and listen to
inspired songs to boost your inner man and mindset. The more you know, the
better your decisions will be. The better your decisions, the greater your
success.
3. Escape darkness
Be ye not unequally yoked
together with unbelievers: for what fellowship hath righteousness with
unrighteousness? and what communion hath light with darkness?
And what concord hath Christ
with Belial? or what part hath he that believeth with an infidel?
And what agreement hath the
temple of God with idols? for ye are the temple of the living God; as God hath
said, I will dwell in them, and walk in them; and I will be their
God, and they shall be my people.
Wherefore come out from among
them, and be ye separate, saith the Lord, and touch not the unclean thing;
and I will receive you,
And will be a Father unto
you, and ye shall be my sons and daughters, saith the Lord Almighty.
2 Corinthians 6:14-18 KJV
You
can be the best in your community. You may have the best skills, talents, and promising
potential. However, you will make little or no impact if the people around you do
not support you.
The
people around you can be a blessing or a curse in disguise. This is one reason
you must disconnect from people who don’t support you. People who don’t appreciate
the gifts and talents within you will limit and extinguish the light within.
Like fire and water, the water will quench the fire. If you are on fire and want to blaze, don’t live near places full of water, because the water will quench the fire. The people around you have a significant impact on your life. The environment you live in can upgrade or downgrade you. Your daily habits have a significant effect on your mindset and overall success. Repent from bad habits and cultivate winning ones.
- Are the people in your circle holding you back?
- Is your environment killing your vision and mission?
- Are the people, environment, and activities creating a self-defeating atmosphere?
- Do you feel worthless in your environment?
- Do you feel useless around the people you surround yourself with?
Repent
and escape for a turnaround!
4. Connect with the light
As
the Holy Bible states in Second Corinthians chapter six verses fourteen to
eighteen, we must not be equally yoked with people who walk in darkness. It is
not enough to disconnect from people who don’t share your mission and vision.
Associate
with resourceful people. Build valuable relationships. Like fire and diesel,
they blaze when they come together. Diesel makes the fire powerful. The more
you add fuel to the fire, the more it blazes.
If
you are on fire, get more diesel. I mean connect with materials that keep the
fire blazing. The people around you can determine your failure or success. Build
a winning mindset with compatible and blazing vessels (meditate on Proverbs
13:20).
5. Build yourself in the
chambers
He that speaketh in an unknown
tongue edifieth himself…
1
Corinthians 14:4 KJV
I
believe in the spiritual and supernatural world because I have had several experiences
in these worlds. Another reason I believe in the spiritual world is that the
Holy Bible discusses this place. Like a building, the foundation determines the
strength and stability of the building. Similarly, the spiritual world serves as
our foundation. To build a strong foundation that will sustain the winning
mindset, prayers and fasting must be a responsibility.
Prayer
and fasting empower our inner man to resist spiritual forces that limit our
winning mindset (meditate on Matthew 26:41). Pray more in tongues. Deal with
the unseen forces sabotaging your glorious mindset, because until the
foundation stands, the building (your winning mindset) remains uncertain.
Meditate on these Holy Scriptures for a more profound revelation.
For though we walk in the
flesh, we do not war after the flesh:
(For the weapons of our
warfare are not carnal, but mighty through God to the pulling down of
strong holds;)
Casting down imaginations,
and every high thing that exalteth itself against the knowledge of God, and
bringing into captivity every thought to the obedience of Christ;
2 Corinthians 10:3-5 KJV
6. Activate the ground
Death and life are in
the power of the tongue: and they that love it shall eat the fruit thereof.
Proverbs
18:21 KJV
Do
you know that your words have a significant impact on your life? It is not
enough to build a winning mindset. You have to activate the ground with your
words. Decree greater things into your life.
Constantly
declare that I can do all things through Christ Jesus, who strengthens me. Declare
the promises of God over your life. Let it be a daily confession until you
become one with the statements.
Declare
positive things, especially the promises of God over your life, because they
are creative forces that empower your spirit and soul to the holy spiritual
forces. The more you confess and decree the promises of God over your life, the
more you develop a winning mindset and receive the materials to take charge. Remember
what the Holy Bible states.
Death and life are in
the power of the tongue: and they that love it shall eat the fruit thereof.
Proverbs
18:21 KJV
I can do all things through
Christ which strengtheneth me.
Philippians
4:13 KJV
Finally, brethren, whatsoever
things are true, whatsoever things are honest, whatsoever things are
just, whatsoever things are pure, whatsoever things are lovely,
whatsoever things are of good report; if there be any virtue, and
if there be any praise, think on these things.
Philippians 4:8 KJV
It
is time to speak to yourself in the chambers that I can do all things through
Christ Jesus, who strengthens me. Those words create a winning mindset. Constantly
meditate on those words. Let the words become part of your soul.
You will become unstoppable when you become one with the promises of God. I will share the seventh master key with you in my upcoming articles. Kindly share the link to this article with loved ones, and freely download and read my books for more wisdom keys. The books are free on my blog.
