The impact of seasons
Seasons can determine the success and failure of products and services.
Suppose your country is in an economic crisis. In that case, it will affect the
church’s offertory, company’s sales, and business productivity.
In the season of the coronavirus, several churches, businesses, and
institutions couldn’t survive. Numerous churches, businesses, and institutions
failed because the season was unfavorable.
Seasons have a significant impact on our lives. Ignoring the effect of
seasons is to your detriment. It doesn’t matter how anointed you are; if your
church members enter a season of darkness, it will affect you.
You can examine the impact of the Russia and Ukraine war. Several
churches and businesses have closed because of the war (season). This is one reason
you must value seasons and times. In my previous article, I revealed some

The relevance of seasons
And of the children of Issachar, [which were men] that had
understanding of the times, to know what Israel ought to do; the heads of them
[were] two hundred; and all their brethren [were] at their
commandment.
1 Chronicles 12:32 KJV
The children of Issachar (descendants of Jacob) were men of war. They
knew the times and seasons of war. These men knew what to do in the season of
war. In the olden days, nations and tribes dominated other countries through a
fight.
The children of Issachar knew when to position themselves for battle.
They knew when and how to attack their enemies because they understood the
season. These warriors knew the time their enemies consulted their gods.
They positioned themselves at vantage points so the enemy would not defeat the Israelites. Understanding the times and seasons enhances your chance
of winning. For example, a student who knows the examination season reads ahead
of time.
The student wakes up in the middle of the night or early morning to
study because he knows exams will soon take place. He does not play around
because he doesn’t want to fail in the exam season.
Business of the twenty-first century thrives more on the internet. Doing
business without a website, blog, social media page, or internet presence limits
your progress because we are in the technology season.
You must discern the season and align yourself because the season affects
your plans. Whatever you are engaged in must have a connection with the
internet because we are in a digital world.
Like the children of Issachar, they understood the times. They knew what
Israel must do to walk and live in victory. As a leader, you must understand the
time and seasons because they can affect your followers or operations. Update
yourself with relevant books. Watch the latest and most important videos. Listen
to the latest audio to stay updated because you can be left behind.
God makes things beautiful in his time
He hath made every [thing] beautiful in his time…
Ecclesiastes
3:11 KJV
God is a master planner. He works with time when dealing with humankind.
God can delay your prayer request because He wants to make all things
beautiful. He does not want you to perish with your prayer request.
God knows you cannot handle the prayer request at your current season,
so he waits for the right time to answer your prayers. Imagine a five-year-old
child desiring a car from his parents.
The five-year child cannot handle or drive a fully furnished car at that
age because his body and mind are immature to handle it. The parent may buy a
toy car for the child because that is what he can handle.
In the same way, you might be praying for a husband, wife, or child. However,
God sees immaturity when He checks your mindset, ideologies, and philosophies. He
does not want the child, husband, or wife to come into your life to face
trouble, so he waits for you to grow mentally, socially, spiritually, and
financially.
God did not create Adam and Eve before creating the animals and trees. He
knew Adam and Eve would need the animals. He knew the trees would turn into
bushes without Adam, so he brought Adam to work on the trees.
Adam had to take care of specific animals, so God left them in the
garden. God would not have created the trees and animals if no one had to care
of them. God makes everything beautiful in his time. Align yourself with the
Holy Spirit because he cannot make a mistake. God makes all things attractive
in his time; therefore, wait for his season.
The set time of God
Thou shalt arise, [and] have mercy upon Zion: for the time to
favour her, yea, the set time, is come.
Psalms 102:13 KJV
We serve a God who works on time. Have you observed the solar system?
The nine planets revolve around the sun. The sun has an unbreakable lane around
which the nine planets revolve.
Each planet has a specific time to complete the race around the sun. For
example, the earth takes three hundred sixty-five days to move around or orbit
the sun completely. Mercury takes eighty-eight days to move around the sun
completely because it is the nearest planet.
Mars takes six hundred and eighty-seven days to move around the sun. None
of the nine planets makes a mistake when moving around the sun because God
works with an order. When it’s about to rain, the clouds show signs.
When the night draws near, the moon and stars appear in the sky to brighten
the earth. I have not seen the sun appearing at night or the moon appearing during
the day. The sun appears in the day while the moon and stars appear at night
because that is their season.
The sun is in the right (stable) position. A little movement of the sun towards
the earth can lead to mass death. Christ Jesus has commanded the sun to stay in
one position because He is a God of orderliness.
His works are perfect. We serve a God of orderliness! God has set time
for working miracles (see Psalms 102:13). One way to get the attention of God
in the season of miracles is to fast and pray.
The Holy Spirit desires to fellowship with us at specific seasons
And they heard the voice of the LORD God walking in the garden in the
cool of the day: and Adam and his wife hid themselves from the presence of the
LORD God amongst the trees of the garden.
Genesis 3:8 KJV
After Adam and Eve disobeyed God, they hid from the presence of God. If
you read Genesis chapter three, verse eight carefully, you will realize that
God (the Holy Spirit) came to the garden at a specific time.
The Holy Spirit visited Adam and Eve in the cool of the day. Adam and
Eve knew God would visit them early in the morning, so they hid from him. The
Holy Spirit desires to fellowship with us in the cool of the day.
It can be early morning, twilight, or middle of the night. At this time,
the weather is conducive for fellowship. Christ Jesus fellowshipped with the
Heavenly Father at this time when He walked on earth as a man. Try
fellowshipping with the Holy Spirit early in the morning (peaceful season) because
it is the time for divine visitation.
The spiritual forces work at a specific season
Now there is at Jerusalem by the sheep [market] a pool, which is
called in the Hebrew tongue Bethesda, having five porches.
In these lay a great multitude of impotent folk, of blind, halt,
withered, waiting for the moving of the water.
For an angel went down at a certain season into the pool, and troubled
the water: whosoever then first after the troubling of the water stepped in was
made whole of whatsoever disease he had.
John 5:2-4 KJV
The Holy Bible makes us understand that the angel of God stirred the
pool of Bethesda at certain seasons. Angels operate actively in specific seasons.
If you are sensitive in the Spirit, you will know these seasons.
Do you know that evil spirits and witches operate actively in specific
seasons? The
midnight hour is the active moment for spiritual forces, especially
evil spirits. At
this hour, the spiritual beings work with great power and strength. Use
this hour to engage the angels of God. Meditate on this Holy Scripture for more
profound revelations.
In a moment shall they die, and the people shall be troubled at
midnight, and pass away: and the mighty shall be taken away without hand.
Job 34:20 KJV
At midnight I will rise to give thanks unto thee because of thy
righteous judgments.
Psalms 119:62 KJV
Apostle Paul reveals the times and seasons
God that made the world and all things therein, seeing that he is Lord
of heaven and earth, dwelleth not in temples made with hands;
Neither is worshipped with men's hands, as though he needed any thing,
seeing he giveth to all life, and breath, and all things;
And hath made of one blood all nations of men for to dwell on all the
face of the earth, and hath determined the times before appointed, and the
bounds of their habitation;
That they should seek the Lord, if haply they might feel after him, and
find him, though he be not far from every one of us:
Acts 17:24-27 KJV
Apostle Paul could not stand the idolatry and superstitious beliefs of
the Romans, so he convinced them about the true God (Christ Jesus). Paul stated
that God has a set time for every nation.
God has control over every nation. He knows how to work with Africans,
Americans, Europeans, Asians, Oceanians, and Antarcticians. God understands
every country’s culture. He knows our ways and thoughts.
However, he has set time for every country and tribe. How God works with
Africans can be different from how he deals with Americans, Asians, Europeans,
and other continents. God knows you.
He knows your tribe. He understands your mindset. God brought you into
Africa, America, Europe, Asia, Oceania, and Antarctica because that’s the best
place for you. You have an appointment with God. He has determined (designed)
your days and destiny. It would be wise to discern the season and connect with
God because he knows the systems in your country (tribe).
The season of wilderness
And Jesus being full of the Holy Ghost returned from Jordan, and was
led by the Spirit into the wilderness,
Being forty days tempted of the devil. And in those days he did eat
nothing: and when they were ended, he afterward hungered.
Luke 4:1-2 KJV
A time will come the Holy Spirit will lead you to a lonely place. This
season is a time of fasting and prayers. It will attract spiritual forces. In
this season, the body will fight you. However, it would help if you endured
because it is for your glory.
The devil will tempt you by using humans, animals, and demons in this
season. You might think God has forsaken you. However, God has not abandoned
you. Your spirit and soul will receive nourishment in this season if you stay
to the end. The power of the Holy Spirit will increase in your life in this
season. Don’t quit in the wilderness season because the Holy Spirit
is preparing you for the assignment.
The end-time season
In Matthew chapter twenty-four, Christ Jesus declared war would occur in
the end time season. False prophets (fake spiritual leaders) and false
Christian believers (fake churches and wolves in sheep's clothing) will
increase in this season.
Demonic doctrines and betrayals will be rampant at the end-time. Many
Christian believers will lose faith in God and the Word in this season. Sinful
activities will increase. What do we see today?
People justify sin. Gays and lesbians are fighting for their “rights.” Fraudulent
activities, scams, abortion, immorality, and grave evil are rising in various
countries, organizations, families, businesses, and institutions because we are
in the last days. Apostle Paul wrote to Timothy that ungodly activities would
be rampant in this season.
This know also, that in the last days perilous times shall come.
For men shall be lovers of their own selves, covetous, boasters, proud,
blasphemers, disobedient to parents, unthankful, unholy,
Without natural affection, trucebreakers, false accusers, incontinent,
fierce, despisers of those that are good,
Traitors, heady, highminded, lovers of pleasures more than lovers of
God;
Having a form of godliness, but denying the power thereof: from such
turn away.
2 Timothy 3:1-5 KJV
Do not be surprised when you see selfish and greedy people in your neighborhood,
schools, workplace, the internet, and social gatherings. Boasters, proud
people, blasphemers, and unholy and disobedient people will rise in the last
days.
As you can see, we are in the last days. Expect false accusers, haters
of God, and despisers of righteous people in your school, home, workplace, and
social gathering because we are in the last days.
Traitors and people who do not love God will increase in the last days. Economic
crisis and inflation will be rampant in the last few days. It is a prophecy
(season) we will experience. Prepare and endure because we are in this season
(study the book of Matthew 24 and Revelations in the Holy Bible for more
profound revelations).
Top five reasons you must know the seasons and times
1.
Knowing the
seasons and times will help you not to miss God
You must know the seasons and times because God has a set time (calendar)
for every man and occasion. As stated, God has specific days and hours of
operation in the world of humankind.
Knowing the seasons of God will position will for a great harvest. Like
the sons of Issachar, they knew the times and seasons. These men knew what
Israel could do to become successful.
If you align with the season of God, he will help you. Remember, God
makes things beautiful in his time (see Ecclesiastes 3:11). If you want to
flourish without frustration, connect with the seasons of God.
2. Knowing the seasons will exempt you from accusers
Some people blame God for their failures and frustration because they
are ignorant of the seasons and times. Christ Jesus is not responsible for your
failure because He is not a God of failure.
Examination experience at the University
I did not perform well in university because I did not know the seasons.
I studied a day ahead of exams. The work of God was my passion (zeal without
knowledge). I did not apply wisdom whiles in the university.
When I completed university, I prayed that God should change my results
(transcript). I confessed to the Holy Scriptures, but it didn’t work. I
listened to numerous faith messages. My faith grew in that season because I
expected God to change my results.
I commanded the angels of God to change my results, but it did not work.
I bought and read Christian books related to miracles and faith to grow my
faith. I downloaded and listened to the faith series of Fred Price, David
Oyedepo, Dag Heward Mills, Kenneth Hagin, Smith Wigglesworth, Kenneth Copeland,
Joyce Meyer, Bill Winston, Jesse Duplantis, Charles Capps, and several gospel ministers
who emphasized faith and miracles to grow my faith.
I confessed and decreed the promises of God. My mind and heart were full
of faith. My results did not change! I had bad grades because I failed to study.
However, I have my certificate.
I have learned from that experience. I have realized that God will not
do what we can do. Failure to work in the season of God can lead to depression.
You are failing because you are working outside God’s will.
It is time to align with the season of God. When you align with the
season and timing of God, you will not fail. You will not be a complainer. You
will not be confused and depressed when you apply wisdom. You will flourish
like the palm tree when you act in the season of God.
3. Knowing the seasons and timing of God will help you not to waste resources.
People are wasting vast sums of money because they have missed the
timing of God. God does not waste time, energy, money, or resources (see John
6:12). If you connect with God, he will help you manage the resources.
When you work in the season of God, your resources will produce significant
profits. Like Peter, he had no fish. When he encountered Christ Jesus, he
caught numerous fish. Your time of catching numerous fish has arrived. You have
to work in the season of God.
4. Knowing the seasons and timing of God will eliminate
you from the rat racers.
People change jobs and homes periodically because they are working
without God. The world is full
of rat racers. Rats are tiny animals that follow any available path.
Even if it is the only path to death, it will run into it.
Rat racers follow the crowd. They follow every trend. They don’t examine
the trend. Rat racers are blind. Anyone can manipulate them. If you act outside
the will of God, you become a rat racer.
Operating outside the season of God places you under the cage (curses)
of rat racers. Rat racers die out of greediness, depression, and fear. They
have no guide because they have no vision. If you don’t want to enter the arena
of rat racers, connect with the season of God.
5. Knowing the seasons and timing of God will eliminate you from the enemy’s cage.
The enemy is looking for vagabonds. When you operate outside the season of God, you become the enemy’s prisoner. Anytime you work outside the timing of God, you become prey to wild wolves (meditate on Matthew 10:16). It takes the mercies of God to exempt you from specific attacks. Work within the season of God if you don’t want the enemy to control you and those connected to you.
