THE TEACHINGS OF JESUS CHRIST 10 (Breaking Invisible Barriers)

And if thy right eye offend thee, pluck it out, and cast it from thee: for it is profitable for thee that one of thy members should perish, and not that thy whole body should be cast into hell.And if thy right hand offend thee, cut it off, and cast it from thee: for it is profitable for thee that one of thy members should perish, and not that thy whole body should be cast into hell.

If you are not born again (repented and accepted Jesus Christ as your Saviour and Lord of your life), you can misinterpret the teachings of God’s Word (Holy Bible). The only Personality qualified to reveal the mysteries and revelations from the Word of God is the Holy Spirit. Interpreting the Word of God without the help of the Holy Spirit can lead to destruction.

This is one reason many Church leaders are leading innocent souls astray. Christianity is increasing, but it looks as if the more people build churches, the higher sin increases. Some leaders do not teach the true Word of God. They only select the Word out of context and teach it to fill their greed.

Such leaders interpret the Word of God without the help of the Holy. When this happens, it creates unbiblical doctrines, fables, false Christians, carnal Christians, soulish Christians, nominal Christians, legalistic Christians and confusion in the body of Christ Jesus. Some people only teach the Word of God figuratively.

They don’t know and understand the revelation behind the Word of God. They don’t have good Bible study tools. They just teach the Word of God as they know. Such Christians are critical at the doctrines of other Churches because they only accept their teachings and condemn others.

This is one reason Churches are breaking. We must pray and ask the Holy Spirit to assist us when we are teaching the Word of God because we will be accountable to every soul in the Church. We must use good Bible study tools to enable us to teach balanced messages and write inspired books. Let us read from the Word of God.

There was a man of the Pharisees, named Nicodemus, a ruler of the Jews:

The same came to Jesus by night, and said unto him, Rabbi, we know that thou art a teacher come from God: for no man can do these miracles that thou doest, except God be with him.

Jesus answered and said unto him, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born again, he cannot see the kingdom of God.

Nicodemus saith unto him, How can a man be born when he is old? can he enter the second time into his mother's womb, and be born?

Jesus answered, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born of water and of the Spirit, he cannot enter into the kingdom of God.

John 3:1-5 KJV

Can you imagine Nicodemus (a learned man who studied and taught the law) asking Jesus Christ how a man can enter his mother’s womb and be born again? Nicodemus interpreted the answer of Jesus Christ figuratively. He did not understand the revelation behind the words of Jesus Christ. Jesus Christ always loved to teach and preach in parables when the Pharisees, Sadducees, Sanhedrin's, and scribes came under His meetings. Meditate on these scriptures, especially the bolder and capitalized texts.

The same day went Jesus out of the house and sat by the sea side.

And great multitudes were gathered together unto him, so that he went into a ship, and sat; and the whole multitude stood on the shore.

And he spake many things unto them in parables, saying, Behold, a sower went forth to sow;

And when he sowed, some seeds fell by the way side, and the fowls came and devoured them up:

Some fell upon stony places, where they had not much earth: and forthwith they sprung up, because they had no deepness of earth:

And when the sun was up, they were scorched; and because they had no root, they withered away.

And some fell among thorns; and the thorns sprung up, and choked them:

But other fell into good ground, and brought forth fruit, some an hundredfold, some sixtyfold, some thirtyfold.

Who hath ears to hear, let him hear.

AND THE DISCIPLES CAME, AND SAID UNTO HIM, WHY SPEAKEST THOU UNTO THEM IN PARABLES?

HE ANSWERED AND SAID UNTO THEM, BECAUSE IT IS GIVEN UNTO YOU TO KNOW THE MYSTERIES OF THE KINGDOM OF HEAVEN, BUT TO THEM IT IS NOT GIVEN.

Matthew 13:1-11 KJV 

Jesus Christ intentionally hid the revelation from the Pharisees, scribes, Sadducees and other religious unbelievers because they were not willing to submit the leadership of the Holy Spirit. They only accepted their teachings and rejected others.

In our days, we have modern Pharisees, Sadducees, and scribes who misinterpret the Word of God. Such people teach false doctrines. They give fables to entice the Church. They don’t know the kingdom mysteries. Such people block Christians who are full of the Holy Spirit and condemns their teachings. Meditate on these scriptures for more revelation.

Woe unto you, lawyers! for ye have taken away the key of knowledge: ye entered not in yourselves, and them that were entering in ye hindered.

Luke 11:52 KJV

Now the Spirit speaketh expressly, that in the latter times some shall depart from the faith, giving heed to seducing spirits, and doctrines of devils;

Speaking lies in hypocrisy; having their conscience seared with a hot iron;

Forbidding to marry, and commanding to abstain from meats, which God hath created to be received with thanksgiving of them which believe and know the truth.

1 Timothy 4:1-3 KJV

Most ministers of God speak lies in hypocrisy. This is one reason we pray that the Holy Spirit will help interpret the Word of God before we teach others. If you are born again, the Holy Spirit can help you interpret the Word of God. The Holy Spirit can reveal mysteries to you when you open your heart to His wisdom. 

Jesus made a profound statement in the book of Matthew chapter five verses twenty-nine to thirty. Jesus spoke in a parable. He said, “if thy right eye offend thee, pluck it out, and cast it from thee: for it is profitable for thee that one of thy members should perish, and not that thy whole body should be cast into hell.”

Jesus is not telling us to pluck out our eyes. He is telling us to get rid of anything that will hinder our salvation. If your friend, a neighbour, an object, association, job, ambition, and business create a barrier between you and your fellowship with God, breakout from such relationships and objects.

It is better to be on the side of Jesus Christ than to be with the World because at the mention of the name Jesus Christ, every knee whether on earth, in the sky, under the sea, underground and all spiritual forces bow (See Philippians 2:10). We must focus on God’s kingdom because that is the most important thing (See Matthew 6:33). Our vision, purpose, ambitions, jobs, relationships, and plans we have purposed to pursue must glorify God’s kingdom.

We must allow no one to break our love for God. We must allow no one to break our fellowship with the Church. If someone tries to limit you from accessing God and you think it is destroying your faith in the Church, the gospel and the ministry, breakout out from such an association! Know these truths.

• Some people cannot pursue their divine purpose because of their marriage partner.
• Some people cannot serve God wholeheartedly because of their job.
• Some people cannot work in the house of God because of education and business.
• Some people cannot serve God in holiness because of their association.
• Some people cannot grow in the faith of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ because of friends.
• Some people cannot enter the ministry of God because of the association.
• Some people cannot serve God because of temporal things (money, fame, power, buildings, girls, pleasure and other carnal things).

Child of God, apply wisdom and knowledge when it comes to God's Word. Allow nobody or nothing to limit your love for God. Jesus Christ has given you the free will. Will you walk in His path or allow someone to block you or allow the besetting sin to limit your love for Jesus Christ? Act on the Word of Jesus Christ, PLUCK IT OUT!
