The three most Important decision to make in life 3

See, I have set before thee this day life and good, and death and evil;

Grace, mercy and peace from our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ. I hope you are increasing in the wisdom of God. This is episode three of our lessons. If you have not read the previous lessons, kindly read them for a better understanding. It is my prayer that the Holy Spirit will open your heart and eyes of understanding on this message.

In this episode, I will share with you the third greatest decision to make in life. I call it THE MINDSET. I have divided it into different sectors.

• Desire to develop

If you don’t upgrade yourself and become familiar with the positive system of the world, the world will leave you behind. For example, if you don’t learn how to use the Internet to broadcast your message, business, and programs, your message will not go far. If you stick the old method used by our fathers, you will become a great failure. 

Technology has made it easy to expand the gospel and your products to different parts of the world. You don't need a passport to spread your message. Social media platforms such as Facebook, YouTube, Twitter, telegram, WhatsApp, blogs and other platforms can help you spread your message to different parts of the world. You can sell your products online through Amazon, your own website, blogs, and even transfer money from your country to other countries through the Internet (PayPal, payoneer, coin base, Visa cards, mobile banking and other ways).

Remember, we are not of this world but we are living in this world. Don't over spiritualize everything and become a failure. Failure to learn the positive system and strategy of the world will stagnate you in the earthly realm. Educate yourself to enable you to catch up. If you catch up with the good system of the world, you will make better decisions.

• Creativity

If you don’t build your mind, people will trample on you. God created your mind to think and make changes. God has invested some gift within you.

• Your height is a gift.
• Your compassion is a gift.
• Your positive anger is a gift.
• Your temperament is a gift.
• Your positive passion is a gift.
• The country you live in is a gift.
• Your desperate heart and desires are a gift.
• Your love is a gift.
• Your tears are a gift.
• Every organ in your body is a gift.
• Your gender is a gift.
• You being alive is a gift.
• What drives you to action is a gift.
• What makes you angry is a gift.
• Your hope is a gift.
• Your faith is a gift.
• Your ability to persist despite the opposition is a gift.
• Your personality is a gift.
• The size of your body is a gift.
• The way you talk is a gift.
• Everything about you is a gift.

If you are a wise person, you will learn to use these gifts to help others. Look within because you are full of untapped and creative ideas. Don’t allow your country, environment, family, finances, and friends to limit you. Use the creative weapons within you and stop searching outside desperately for help.

• Investment

God can take you far as far as your mind can take you. Remember what He said to Abraham (See Genesis 13:14-17). Your mind controls every organ in your body because you always react based on how you think. You cannot make a better decision without building capacity. The books you read is an investment because you can only give (impartation and wisdom) what you have.

If you don’t build your mind with resourceful materials, you will not make better decisions and it will affect your future and those connected to you. I read almost every day because it has become my habit. Invest in life-transforming books. Read good books connected with your purpose. • The Will

I have divided the will (power and freedom to decide) into eleven sectors and it falls under the mindset.

• Past Will

Will you allow your memories to control you? People may have abused you verbally, socially, emotionally, financially, physically, psychologically, and sexually. Listen to the story of Joyce Meyer because you will learn a lot from the abuse she passed through. Don’t remain in the prison of bitterness. I know sometimes it is difficult to release people who have intentionally hurt you. I have learnt by my little experience that the quickest way to forgive someone who hurts you is to forgive the person immediately at the spot.

Don’t allow a day to pass by before you forgive that person because it will enter your soul, hurt your feelings, make you bitter, revengeful and unforgiving. I remember when I was at the University; I was preaching in one of the lecture halls. As I was preaching, one student took the microphone from me. Immediately I told the student, I forgive you. I told the whole class to pray for the student who took the microphone from me. I believe he was ignorant of his actions.

From that time, the student who took the microphone from me became my friend. Later, I saw that he stood for student representative council presidential elections when I was at level 400. He was at level 300 and popular because of his activity on campus. He lost the election. His opponent won the election with few counts. Don’t become bitter when people hurt you, become better because God knows how to pay those who have intentionally hurt you.

Resting in your past can hinder your progress. While people are moving forward in life, you will be swimming in the river of stagnation because your past is blocking the open doors ahead of you. If you allow your memories to control you, you block God’s vision for your life. You will not make a better decision in life if you are always living with regrets, hurts, and unforgiveness. Life is too precious and short to live in with negative memories. Lay the burden at the feet of Jesus Christ and make the right decision.

• The Present Will

People allow their current circumstances to determine their future. When the Israelites became hungry, they forgot the miracles of God. They began to unleash their anger on Moses. Child of God, don’t allow your current circumstance to determine your future. Is it your job, finance, or a departure of your loved one? See the greatness of God because the current situation is not your final destination. God can turn your situation into a miracle.

God can use our mistakes to open doors for us as He did for Joseph. Joseph made a lot of mistakes by revealing all his secrets to his family. They sold him to the Midianites, and the Midianites sold him to Pharaoh. In all his mistakes, God made a way for him and he became a great leader in Egypt. God turned the shame of Job into fame.

God turned the shame of Jabez into fame when Jabez confronted Him in prayers. Don’t allow your current situation to break you because it is temporal. God is working it out for your good. Be unmovable, have faith in the Word of God and act as the Holy Spirit prompts you. Meditate on this scripture.

And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to his purpose.

Romans 8:28 KJV

• The Future Will

Don’t allow your future to break you. The news and the gossip may capture your hope. Hold unto Jesus because Jesus is in the boat. If the storms and the wind could not stop Jesus, your situation cannot stop you. Jesus Christ silenced the storm with His tongue. You have the power to silence the fears. The miracle is in your tongue. Become one with the Word and declare it with absolute faith. Get my book "The Mysteries of Fear" for a more profound revelation.

Greater is He that lives in you than the one in this world. If you allow the spirit of fear controlling you, you open yourself to depression and confusion. If you are confused, you will make bad decisions. This is one reason you don’t have to decide when you are sad, happy, or angry.

Decide when you are sound because you will be responsible for every decision you make. Look up to Jesus Christ. He holds your future. His desire for you is to bring you to an expected and a joyful end (See Jeremiah 29:11). I have learned to pray for the will of God for my life as I am growing in the Lord because it helps me make the right decision.

• The Soulish Will

Your soul has desires. It makes you concentrate on your emotions, selfishness, and lustful desires if you don't sanctify your soul (mind, emotions, intellect and will) with the Word of God. This is one reason people easily respond to mockery, insults, and criticism. If you allow your soul to control you, you will not make a better decision in life. Break the soulish side of you through Spirit-filled worship and meditation on the Word and your soul will make better decisions in your life.

• The spirit Will

Our spirit has a will. The will of our spirit desires the things of the Holy Spirit. Our spirit desires the Word of God because that is his food. As our body desires water and food and our soul desires fellowship, so does our spirit desires the Word of God. When we feed our spirit with the Word, our spirit becomes strong and active to the voice of the Holy Spirit. When our spirit hears the voice of the Holy Spirit, we enforce the decisions of God’s kingdom.

• The Will of the Flesh

Our flesh desires to satisfy the affection of the world. People have become gluttons, sex addicts and greedy because they allow their flesh to control them. 

• Such people limit their minds to the things of the world. 
• They do not think about the things of the Spirit because they are earthly minded.
• Such people are only controlled by their five senses. 
• Such people do not make decisions that bring life to their spirit because they are lost in the darkness.
•  If you fall into this category, repent and connect with Christians who are full of the Holy Spirit to enable you make better decisions. 

• The Devil’s Will

Satan and his kingdom have a will for us. They want us to disobey God's Word. Any thought (video, counseling, music, book and media) that make you disagree with the Word of God is not from God. The Word of God is above every constitution. If you allow the devil and his minions to control you, you will make decisions that will destroy your destiny. If you allow the devil to control your mind, you become a slave to his deceitful ideas. I have a book called “The Devil is Innocent.”

If you are not Spirit-filled, you may condemn that book. Read that book and see what the Lord wants you to understand because there are some aspects in our lives the devil has no influence. Break every thought that challenges the Word of God in your life by declaring the Word with faith. If you don’t break the thoughts of the devil, you will begin to challenge the Word of God. When this happens, you will make destructive decisions.

• The Will of the Holy Spirit

The Holy Spirit desires that we walk in the will of God. When we (our spirit, soul and body) are one with the Holy Spirit, He makes our thoughts align with God's will. When we commune with the Holy Spirit through prayers, He orders our steps and builds our faith. When our faith in the Lord is built, we make decisions that please God.

• The Enemies Will

Human enemies have a desire for us. They wish we fail in life. They try to cast spells, curses and bewitch us with their power. Power is not evil because all power emanates from God. It is how we use the power. If you use your power in a godly way, it brings life. If you use power in a bad way, it brings darkness.

 If you are not born again, you become a tool in the hands of your enemies because you are not covered. If you are born again, you must pray and break their evil wishes and desires because God and His angels cannot intervene without our cooperation (Meditate on these scriptures, Matthew 26:41, 1 Thessalonians 5:17, Ephesians 6:10-17).

Failure to watch and pray places you in the enemy's will. If you fall into your enemies will, they will hijack your godly decisions. You need a strong faith and an anointed prayer to break their evil wishes and traps. Failure to follow this path will make you make bad decisions.

• The Parents Will

The will of your parents or guardians can be good but not acceptable in the sight of God. Some parents want their children to pursue a specific profession. God may allow your parents to drive you to their desire because of your will, His permissive will and mercies, but understand that you will be accountable.

The will of your parents is not ultimately God’s will. The will of God builds your spirit, soul, and body in the image of Christ Jesus. Any desire that only favours the growth of your body and reduces the growth of your spirit and soul is not the will of God. If you allow the will of your parents or guardians to dominate you without standing on the Word of God, you will make bad decisions. Remember, the wisdom, knowledge and experience of human beings including your parents has limitations. 

• The Neighborhood Will

Your friends, teachers, bosses, employees, workmates, and loved one’s desires that you conform to their way of living. Their will and desires can make you deviate from God's plan. The fact that all your friends are pursuing a specific profession and agenda does not mean that you should follow their plans. Don’t be too lenient to conform to the decisions of your loved ones because it can make you make a bad decision.

Only comply with the decisions of your loved ones if you have a feeling of inner peace, joy, and a strong conviction that God wants you to pursue their plan. You can seek the face of God through fasting and prayers. God will reveal his plans to you through dreams, visions, the Word, inner witness, trance, or He may give some evidence to enable you to make the right decision.
