HOW TO ENTER THE SECRET PLACE OF ALMIGHTY GOD

Psalm 91:1 He that dwelleth in the secret place of the most High shall abide under the shadow of the Almighty.

Every human desire to be protected because the spirit of wickedness rules on earth. The President is protected by bodyguards. Some Journalist and important dignitaries are protected by bodyguards because of security. People build walls and security doors to protect themselves from danger. If there is no danger, why do you lock your doors in the house before you sleep? The bodyguards, metal walls and security doors serve as a protection. As far as the security doors, bodyguards and metal walls are in place, you remain in the secret place.

A secret place is an arena of safety. Nobody knows the entrance to the place except the owner. It is a place of refuge. In some countries, we have refugee camps where people come in to settle because they need a safety. As Christians, we have to enter this secret place because there are forces who desire to destroy us. Christians need a spiritual secret place to enable them to receive refuge from the enemy because we are in spiritual warfare (See Ephesians 6:10-12).

The secret place is an arena where the holy and stronger angel’s lives. This is a place of peace and love. No devil can access this place. You are delivered from the plans and the traps of the enemy when you enter this place. It is a place of victory because the power of God reigns. Natural disaster cannot harm you when you enter this place. It is a realm where God hides your spirit, soul and body from all the attack of the enemy.

The question is, how do we enter this secret place. Which fundamental keys should we use before we can access this place? In every organization, there are protocols they follow. Any breach of these protocols will activate the penalty of punishment because it is a rule. For example, it is a divine law that if you fear (reverence for God's Word and His servants) the Lord, He will encamp His angels around you (See Psalm 34:7).

In Ghana, Presidents and ministers are protected by security cars and motor vehicles because it is a protocol. There are benefits an individual receives if the person meets the requirement.

The same principle applies in the Kingdom of God. Before you can access the secret place of the Almighty God, there are protocols you must follow and keys you must use before you can access the place. The first key to access the secret place of the Almighty God is Faith. Let’s read from the Word.

Psalm 91:9 BECAUSE THOU HAST MADE THE LORD, WHICH IS MY REFUGE, even the most High, thy habitation;

Psalm 91:10 There shall no evil befall thee, neither shall any plague come nigh thy dwelling.

The Psalmist is saying that if we trust in Jesus Christ, no evil or plague shall come near us. Refuge in the context of the scripture can be explained as trust, hope, shelter and faith in the Lord. So, the first key to activate the door to the secret place is Faith.

• Faith means you believe and act on the Word as the Spirit of God directs.
•  Faith makes your spirit dominate your soul and body.
•  Faith makes your spirit active and stronger in the realms of the spirit. 
• Faith empowers your spirit to resist the arrows of the enemy.
•  Faith enhances your thoughts when the enemy attacks your mind (See 2 Corinthians 10:3-5). 
• The Spirit of faith charges your atmosphere and renders the works of the enemy powerless.
•  When faith is in operation, the Holy Spirit shelters you from impending danger.

The second key to enable you to access the secret place of the Almighty God is divine love. Let’s read from the Word.

Psalm 91:14 BECAUSE HE HATH SET HIS LOVE UPON ME, therefore will I deliver him: I will set him on high, because he hath known my name.

The Psalmist is speaking about love in the context of the scripture. Walking and living in divine love catapult your spirit to the secret place of the Almighty God because love is a virtue of the Holy Spirit that enables the Christian to walk as Christ Jesus walked. Living in love (tuning on your conscience, emotions, feelings, desires, to the frequency of Heaven) renders the works of the enemy useless because the Holy Spirit will automatically protect you. Love grows in the heart of the Christian because it is a seed.

The seed of love grows as you continue to practice it daily in your life. There are times, you must show unconditional love towards your neighbours and the enemy because some of them may be ignorant of their actions. Evil blinds our spiritual senses and activates our fleshly desires (See Galatians 5:19-21). Use the key of love to revive your spiritual senses because love invites the Holy Spirit and the holy angels. When the Holy Spirit and the angels are in charge, you remain under the shelter of the Almighty God.

The third key to enable you to access the secret place is to fellowship with the Holy Spirit. The more you fellowship (prayer, meditation on God's Word and soaking into spiritual songs) with the Holy Spirit, you know more about God. Let’s read from the Word.

Psalm 91:14 Because he hath set his love upon me, therefore will I deliver him: I will set him on high, BECAUSE HE HATH KNOWN MY NAME.

You are limited by the knowledge you have in God (See Hosea 4:6). God is unlimited in wisdom, power, authority, grace, love, favour, mercies, favour, abundance, grace, holiness and any positive virtue you can think of. Don’t limit God by the limited knowledge you have about Him. Study the attributes and personalities of God because it will help you know more about God.

Fellowship with the Holy Spirit through worship and praises and He will reveal Himself to you. Seek Him in times of fasting and prayers and you will encounter Him. When you encounter God, a covenant is established. This will make God bigger in your heart. When God becomes bigger in your life, your spirit plugs into the secret place. 

• Believe God to be your Provider (See Psalm 23).
• Believe God to be your Healer (See Exodus 15:26, Jeremiah 30:10-17).
• Believe God to be your Protector. (See Psalm 23, 91, Jeremiah 30:10-17).
• Believe God to be your Defender (See Psalm 23, 91, Jeremiah 30:10-17).
• Believe God to be your Strength. (See Psalm 23, 91, Jeremiah 30:10-17).
• Believe God to be your Saviour (See Psalm 23, 91, Jeremiah 30:10-17).
• Believe that God is interested in every area of your life because He knows the number of hairs on your head (See Luke 12:7).

Divine Key: Love God with all your spirit, soul and body.
